Toothsavers Brushing Game (Video Game Review)

As adults, we all know the importance of brushing our teeth and good dental hygiene. Our children need to develop these skills as well, and luckily, there are plenty of new tools introduced everyday that can help parents in modern society teach their kids about the importance of good dental hygiene in fun and exciting new ways. Toothsavers is a new app that teaches kids why they need to brush their teeth twice daily for two minutes while delivering a fun, fairytale storyline that children are sure to enjoy.

Toothsavers features a fairytale storyline where a witch who was jealous of everyone's nice smiles cursed the land with plaque. The player is armed with a toothbrush and must save the kingdom by brushing the mouths of its citizens. The game includes classic characters such as Little Red Riding Hood, Dracula and a Dragon. Additional characters are unlocked by players that make sure to brush their own teeth twice a day for two minutes to help teach good brushing habits. The game is fun and colorful and features a storyline that kids will love to play each day while learning to brush their teeth properly.

Levels in Toothsavers are accessed from an overworld map similar to the classic Super Mario Bros. 3 layout. There are ten characters in total in the game, and each really need to brush their teeth! Players assist with the process with their toothbrush using touchscreen controls that allow players to brush, swipe and tap to get those molars clean. Players are awarded for their brushing skills in-game with one to three stars. There are also other features included in the game including multiplayer game modes and funny animations that bring the cartoon smiles to life. The game can be rather short and repetitive, but gamers have to remember that it is geared more toward children than adults.

Toothsavers is a great teaching app that even allows parents to get in on the fun. The app includes an ability for parents to set brushing times in the day and night and track healthy brushing progress on an in-game calendar. Parents can also post important achievements and milestones their kids make directly to Facebook. Toothsavers is available to download for free, so there is really no reason to pass up on this app. Check out Toothsavers on iTunes, Google Play or online for browsers today!

This is where the buffet line reigns supreme, the sweet tea flows endlessly, and dessert is always just an arm’s reach away. For many locals, Kacey’s is a comfort food paradise. Fans brag about the fried green tomatoes, juicy pork chops, slow-cooked beef tips, and banana pudding that deserves its own holiday. The staff are another highlight—quick with refills, friendly enough to feel like family, and the kind of people who can make a buffet feel like Sunday dinner at grandma’s. But Kacey’s has its critics too. Some diners rave about “the best bang for your buck in town,” while others complain that the food sometimes veers into “straight-from-the-can” territory. Like most buffets, it’s a roll of the dice: hit the line on a good day and you’ll be full and happy; catch it on an...
