Inklings (Video Game Review)


Applepine Games has released Inklings for Steam, iOS and Mac.

Applepine Games is a company found by two brothers from Seattle, Washington. Inklings is a single player game that features some cleverly designed puzzle mechanics in a beautifully hand-drawn world.

The first thing players will notice about Inklings is the artistic visuals that look like something straight out of a child's imagination. The game environments are colorful, vibrant and fun which add a whole new level of immersion to the title's gameplay. If you have after wanted to enter a world of child-like imagination then Inklings might just be for you.



Players take control of round objects wearing glasses called Inklings. The game involves having to get the characters across the map into a dark hole in order to progress to the next level. The Inklings have a wide array of items to help them reach their destination which includes the use of a gravity gun and flip gravity. The gamer will make their way across a diverse set of environments like a children's drawing or a painted masterpiece that involve some complex bonus solutions. Rather your making your way through Monet's Water Lilies or Kandinsky's Several Circles, there is always something that anyone can enjoy.

The gameplay in Inklings often involves finding clever solutions to the many puzzles throughout the entire title that involves dragging and dropping shapes or climbing walls. The best way to play the game is to form a creative strategy for each new level and being patient while you make your way to the end.
