Assassin's Creed Revelations (Video Game Preview)

The fourth installment in the highly acclaimed Assassin's Creed series has been announced. Assassin's Creed Revelations is scheduled to be released on November 15, 2011 for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. Assassin's Creed Revelations is set to be the last game in the Ezio trilogy. Ezio is now well past his prime and is left wondering if he lived his life in a good way. Assassin's Creed Revelations will take place in a few different locations including Masyaf, Cappadocia and the ancient city of Constantinople, following Ezio as he searches for five legendary seals left behind by his ancestor, Altair, that well lead him to an artifact of great power in Masyaf. Assassin's Creed Revelations will start and end with Ezio in Masyaf, but Ezio will also travel to Constantinople, which is divided into 4 divisions; Constantin, Beyazid, Imperial and Galata, where most of Assassin's Creed Revelations will take place. Cappadocia will also take up a portion of Assassin's Creed Revelations as a subterranean city populated by many Templars. Ezio gets to relive some of Altair's memories with each seal he finds, and it has been announced that players will be able to control both Ezio and Altair in Assassin's Creed Revelations. The franchise's main protagonist, Desmond, is also back in Assassin's Creed Revelations. Desmond is strapped into an Animus at the beginning of Assassin's Creed Revelations, and he is in a coma from the result of the ending of Assassin's Creed Brotherhood.

In addition to being able to control both Ezio and Altair in one game, there are plenty of other changes and new additions that Assassin's Creed Revelations will add to the Assassin's Creed series. For starters, Assassin's Creed Revelations will add a new weapon/accessory called the hookblade to Ezio's inventory. Not only can Ezio use the hookblade as a weapon to dispatch his foes, but it can be used in numerous strategical ways throughout his journey to help him get around easier. The hookblade can be used to easily access ziplines and climb walls and buildings quicker among other things. Creative Director Alexandre Amancio said in an interview with Game Informer that it will make free running in Assassin's Creed Revelations a lot "more fluid, faster and more fun", and that "it speeds up navigation by around 30%." Another new feature in Assassin's Creed Revelations will be the ability to create bombs. This will be a huge addition to Assassin's Creed Revelations, because Ezio will be able to create more than 300 different bombs including flash bangs and smoke bombs. Eagle vision is back in Assassin's Creed Revelations, but it is now called eagle sense but has been enhanced to make a better addition to Ezio's skill set. With eagle sense, Ezio will now be able to hear better as well making him able to do such things as hear far off conversations and heartbeats. Multiplayer returns from Assassin's Creed Brotherhood, but will now feature more of a storyline. As players become higher rank in multiplayer, they will learn more about the main antagonist groups, Abstergo Industries and The Templars. There are many other changes coming to multiplayer in Assassin's Creed Revelations to make it an overall better experience as well such as new game modes, new maps, custom characters, guilds and faster matchmaking.

The demo covers your first four days on the job, teaching the systems while nudging you toward choices, obey protocol and keep the peace, or pry at the seams and uncover the post office’s darker purpose. Either way, those first shifts are a careful, uncanny invitat...
