5 Video Game Quotes That Made You Laugh

Many video games are memorable for their stunning graphics, superb storyline or interesting characters. Then you have those rare games that are memorable because of their insanely funny quotes. Let's take a look at some of the top 5 video games that made you laugh.

5. "That was too close, you were almost a Jill sandwich." (Barry Burton from Resident Evil)
I remember this was funny even when I was younger crawled up next to my brother playing Resident Evil at all hours of the night. It is one of those lines that sticks with you and every time you hear the name "Resident Evil" it comes to mind. The person who originally thought of that line was a mad-genius!

4. "YOU HAVE DIED OF DYSENTERY" (Oregon Trail)
Oregon Trail on PC was some of my very EARLY gaming. I was on my first sleepover at a friend's birthday party, and we decided to play the game together. When this game quote appeared on the screen, we looked at each other and said "how did we die by dentistery?" As 10 year old children, we just didn't get how we died by dentists in a wagon. Even though I know now the meaning of the word--it always makes me smile when someone brings up Oregon Trail.

3. "LET'S PLAY MONEY MAKING GAME." (The Legend of Zelda)
Hell Yeah! You walk into a dark cave with a bearded old man who asks a young boy to play games for money. It is almost as creepy as it was funny. Proper English was rare in the early days of video games but that was sometimes the best part of a game.

2. "THANK YOU MARIO! BUT OUR PRINCESS IS IN ANOTHER CASTLE!" (Toad from Super Mario Bros.)
You spend all day slaving away, traveling across maps and slaying monsters to get to a castle that doesn't even have a princess! Any fair knight would have been pretty p-oed but not MARIO! Mario was the kind that slap a blonde wig on toad and say, "That'll do Toad, that'll do."

1. "You don't get your pudding if you don't eat your meat!" (Gex from Gex: Enter the Gecko)
Enough said. Teaching kids around the world to eat meat in order to get a pudding cup....
