Darksiders II: Argul's Tomb and Death Rides Pack (DLC Review)

THQ and Vigil Games have released two new DLC packs for Darksiders II which include Argul’s Tomb and Death Rides Pack. Darksiders II was one of the best sequels of 2012, and the new DLC content doesn't fail to deliver on making an already enjoyable game that much better. The Argul Tomb features a slew of new content which includes two new dungeons, a new level, exciting new boss battles, and tons of shiny new items and weapons. After selecting the Argul's Tomb content, players will receive a new mission from Argul to retrieve an item from the tomb of Ostegoth. Death jumps on the offer since he will be highly rewarded for the task. Fans will enjoy the intense action that comes later when they embark on a shooter-style action side mission with the Gore Hammer in hand. The projectile weapon is a grenade launcher that will have players shooting their way through the mission in true shoot em' up style.

After entering Argul's Tomb, the video game returns to its classic puzzle elements and offers the chance to try out two new spellcasting abilities which are the Voidwalker and Deathgrip. Players can now use their new abilities to teleport across the map by casting Voidwalker; while Deathgrip allows Death to use grip hooks on objects or enemies. These new abilities add a whole new element of intriguing gameplay to an already polished storyline. The two new dungeons add even more replay value to an already amazing game. The only downfall of Argul's Tomb is that it is rather short and can be completed within a couple of hours. However, it just gets us even more excited for the future DLC content to come for Darksiders II.

Vigil Games has managed to deliver amazing DLC content that can draw players back into the dark universe that they have come to love. Fans of the series will once again experience the exquisite graphics, amazing soundtrack and responsive controls that they are accustomed to. The Legendary loot that the new DLC offers fans is just one of many reasons to check out this new content. Once players combine Argul's Tomb with the Death Rides Packwith its additional two hours of side-queststhen gamers have a perfect bundle of DLC content.

Darksiders II is now available for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 and PC, with a WiiU version scheduled for release at launch of the WiiU.
