5 Things We Want to See in The Walking Dead: Episode 5 No Time Left

Developer Telltale Games introduced us to a crazy new world set within the universe of The Walking Dead when their new series released back in April 2012. The game featured a (mostly) brand new cast of characters whom we’d come to love as we witnessed their struggles to survive in a post-apocalyptic, zombie takeover. The group has had to overcome many hardships along the way including zombie hordes, evil bandits and even betrayals from within their own group. Telltale Games has announced The Walking Dead: Episode 5 No Time Left will be releasing on PlayStation Network, Xbox LIVE Arcade and PC next week, and that mad us wonder what was in store for us in the last episode of the season before the second season arrives and takes us who knows where next year. So, here are the top 5 Things We Want to See in The Walking Dead: Episode 5 No Time Left!

5. More Tie-Ins With the Comic Book Series
When Glen, Herschel and Lilly appeared back in Episode 1: A New Day, it seemed more like a way to draw in fan of the established series rather than a way to progress the storyline of The Walking Dead video game. Herschel’s segment seems pointless now that we’re this far into the series, and Glenn only offered up a few more exciting moments during his chapter of the game. Lilly definitely made an impact during the episodes she was in the game, but we’d like to see more characters from the comic and show make their way into the game in the future. Telltale Games has done a wonderful job with the new cast of characters and continuing to introduce new characters each episode, proving they don’t need the help to become a well established series on its own merit, but it would still be cool to see Lee and company cross paths with Michonne and her pet zombies or spend a whole episode outwitting the Governor and his cronies.

4. Show Us the Decisions We’ve Made Really Impact the Game
Telltale Games did an excellent job in Episode 4: Around Every Corner to show that our decisions really impact the ending of the episode and onwards into the finale with members of the group dying based on the decisions you made. However, the game really didn’t explore this possibility in the previous three chapters. No matter what you chose to do in the pharmacy, either Doug or Carley would die, Mark would die at the dairy farm and so forth. You could also choose to be completely awful to certain characters throughout the game only to team up with them later in the game with no consequence. In Episode 5: No Time Left, Telltale Games needs to raise the bar even further and make decisions matter more than ever before as we move into the second season of episodes next year. And speaking of the second season….

3. Keep Us Excited for the Second Season
Yes, cliffhanger endings suck, but the world of The Walking Dead is one that fans greatly enjoy, and we could easily see us talking about Telltale Games‘ The Walking Dead for PlayStation 4 five years from now. That’s why the developer needs to ensure we stay excited for the upcoming season at the end of the final episode. Certain storylines need to be wrapped up by the ending of No Time Left, but teasing the adventures of a grown up Clementine or showing the remaining members of the group coming across someone else up to no good at the end of the episode wouldn’t be the worse thing in the world. The Walking Dead has a big fan base, and Telltale Games needs to ensure we’re just as excited for Episode 1 of Season 2 as we are for Episode 5: No Time Left!

2. Finally Reveal the Fate of Clementine’s Parents
If there is one thing that has been eating away at fans of The Walking Dead, we’re dying to learn what in the world happened to little Clementine’s parents. Ever since the opening moments when we are first introduced to the young girl, we are led to believe that there is no way Clementine’s parents could have survived the zombie apocalypse. Before the group arrived to their destination at the end of Episode 3: Long Road Ahead however, a mysterious person appeared on Clem’s walkie talkie claiming he had her parent’s right beside him. It seems pretty obvious he’s lying and trying to deceive the little girl, but we can’t help but wonder if maybe they are still alive and out there somewhere, just as Clementine is hoping. Whether they are alive, dead or undead, we need to know what happened to them before the end of No Time Left.

1. A Proper Death for Lee
Lee Everett has been The Walking Dead’s protagonist for the entire season. We’ve seen the man evolve from a murderer in the back of squad car to the loving caretaker of a young girl he never knew before the start of the zombie outbreak. Episode 4: Around Every Corner gave us the biggest shocker of the entire series when Lee was bitten by a hidden zombie near the ending of the episode, and now, Lee is on one final mission to save Clementine from an evil kidnapper. We’re certain Lee will be able to save the day as he’s done many times before this season, but we want to see the protagonist’s life come to an end in a heroic way and allow him to die with the ultimate redemption knowing he saved Clementine from a horrible death even if he regrettably took the life of another man.
