Capcom Arcade Cabinet Pack 1 (Video Game Review)

The Capcom Arcade Cabinet Pack 1 gives gamers the classic games they love on their modern-day consoles. The collection contains such titles as Black Tiger, 1943: Battle Of Midway, and Avengers. The new release allows players to experience these titles from 1987 from the comfort of their very own home.

The Capcom Arcade Cabinet permits gamers to download the titles they want as they become available which allows players to pick and choose their games out of over 15 games. If you would like to try out the model then you can now get Black Tiger for free right now. The best part of the cabinet is the ability to customize your arcade experience with changing difficulties and modes.

First up in the collection is Avengers in which you can take out enemies from eight directions. Players can defeat enemies by kicking, punching or using weapons and can play with a friend through the two-player option. The game has enjoyable classic controls and simplicity that we all love from the early days of gaming. The title can be rather challenging and playing with a friend helps to make things a little easier. Enemies will ambush you in packs from all corner of the screen that requires a great deal of creativity to fend off. Although gameplay can get kind of stiff--Avengers offers up truly enjoyable beat-em-up action!

The next title in Pack 1 is 1943: Battle of Midway that will have you shooting your way through tough challenges in no time. Your health is recorded through a energy bar which also is your fuel gauge. Players will have to keep a keen eye on their gauges while managing to use their quick reflexes and memory skills to make it through the level in one piece. The game is really long with over sixteen stages and will take an invasive game plan to complete.

Lastly, we have the side-scroller Black Tiger which completes Pack 1 of the Capcom Arcade Cabinet. Only with your trusty weapons in hand, you will be forced to battle down various paths while battling off fierce enemies. Players will need to rescue characters and upgrade in order to make it through the levels which increase in difficulty. The game has a classic RPG feel and is quite entertaining.

The platform offers several additional features that wasn't available with the original games which include DIP switch functionality, the music player, and the option to capture and share screenshots or video. Capcom Arcade Cabinet Pack 1 contains three enjoyable classic titles combined with addictive gameplay, classic controls, superb music and colorful graphics for an overall great experience. If you have been aching to play some your favorite games from the eighties, then this is for you. However, you may need to remember the games are extremely difficult but we already knew that, right?!
