Walmart has announced the company will begin taking preorders for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One beginning on August 24, 2013. A new program will allow customers to preorder their console of choice for only 10% or $40 for PlayStation 4 and $50 for Xbox One. Customers can then choose to make payments towards the purchase before it is released or pay it all the same day the console launches in stores. Walmart will also allow customers to put off paying off the console until December 13, 2013 if they so choose.
Preorder consoles will include Day One Edition Xbox One consoles that include an Xbox One, Kinect sensor, Day One Commemorative Controller, an Exclusive Achievement and DLC and special packaging. The PlayStation 4 console preorder will come with the PlayStation 4, DualShock 4 Controller and Wired Mono Headset. Walmart will also be offering controller and launch day game preorders that include Forza 5, Dead Rising 3, Ryse, Killzone, Knack and Driveclub for $59.96.
