The Sims 3 Midnight Hollow (Video Game Review)
The century-old Victorian town is inhabited by eccentric Sims who have created a community where they could be accepted. At first glance, The Sims 3 Midnight Hollow has lots of things to do which includes new Sims to enjoy, fun shops to explore alongside a ton of new building and customization options. The Sims 3 Midnight Hollow will allow players to create their very own Halloween-themed town to enjoy all month in anticipation of the upcoming holiday.
The town of Midnight Hollow is lined with Gothic Victorian homes and shops that may appear dark in nature yet are beautifully highlighted with just the right amount of lighting. The lighting effects in combination with the dark hues and colors really set the mood for the game. All of the new items and decor in the game are simply beautiful and seemed like something straight of a gothic painting. It was a lot of fun to create the perfect haunting room with Victorian double doors that opened to a iron spiral staircase that led to a dark dungeon with the flickering glow from the brass candelabrums hanging nearby as you are greeted by Dr. Frankenstein!
The best part of The Sims 3 Midnight Hollow is the ability to create your very own Toy store! Yes, this part was an absolute blast. Players can use the toy making machine to create unique toys that you can automatically sell in your store. The amount of variety and replayability is huge in Midnight Hollow and most parts of the game seem to never get old. Fans have been waiting a long time for the Sims 3 to add elements that were present in Sims 2: Open for Business, and it is finally here. Midnight Hollow comes with the Savvy Seller's Collection premium content which gives you everything to start your very own business. Players will be able to name their store, set their shop hours, stock shelves, hire clerks, set their markup, and use the game's statistics to keep track of sales. This premium content only comes with the Sims 3 Midnight Hollow and is not sold separately. The collection also comes with 5 varying rug sizes, pedestal, car space, shelf, cash register and a shop door. However, some restrictions apply on what you can sale. Players can not sell certain products in their stores which includes food, collectibles or crafts. Basically, any item that is hand-made by your Sim (potions, paintings, etc ) can not be sold. While this may be a bummer to some at least you will never have to restock your merchandise--meaning once you place something on a shelf then it will remain there and you will always gain money from it!
All-in-all, The Sims 3 Midnight Hollow is a perfect addition to your collection and is worth every penny. Midnight Hollow's immersive gameplay goes hand-in-hand with its beautifully drawn graphics, haunting soundtrack, and amazingly dark decor. Also, the fact The Sims 3 Midnight Hollow adds in the premium content of the Savvy Seller's Collection only makes it that much better since it can be used in your other worlds. If you haven't purchased The Sims 3 Midnight Hollow then get it today for 2,450 SimPoints at the Sims 3 store. Players can also pick up the Gold Edition of The Sims 3 Midnight Hollow for only 3,900 SimPoints until October 7th which comes with the Titanic Toy Machine and other new items.
