New Super Mario 3D World Goes Big with Plenty of Powerups

Nintendo has released a new trailer for the month of October with plenty of new details for their upcoming release of Super Mario 3D World. The game supports up to four players cooperatively, comes packed with online features and contains a brand new storyline for the Mushroom Kingdom in a 3D setting. Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach and Toad will have plenty of new powerups to help topple their enemies and uncover all of the in-game secrets.

Super Mario 3D World brings back some classic powerups including the classic Tanooki suit, Fire Flower suit and Mega Mushroom size to plow through anything that is in front of the collosal character. In addition, players can climb, scratch and more inside of a new Cat suit, split into twice as many characters with the Double Cherry or throw projectiles that always come back in a Boomerang suit. A super special suit that allows players to easily walk through any enemies to make any stage to be completed by all players. This White Tanooki suit is only accessible when a player has failed a stage too many times in a row. Super Mario 3D World is now available for preorder from most major retailers for the MSRP of $59.99 and is scheduled to release exclusively for Nintendo Wii U on November 22, 2013.
