Activision Announces Skylanders Trap Team Scheduled for Release this Fall

Skylanders fans around the world rejoice! Activision has announced the next installment for the series called Skylanders Trap Team. The upcoming game will be compatible with all previously released Skylanders figures and will introduce 18 new characters to the series. Characters in the game will also have new abilities to add to older move pools, and the game will add the ability for players to capture enemies with a special tool that then allows the enemy and boss characters to be used as friendly, fully playable characters for the remainder of the game. This is obviously a really cool new feature for the series that we can't wait to try out for ourselves, so read on to learn more and see the official announcement trailer for the game below!

Kaos has blown up the walls of the feared Cloudcracker Prison freeing the most notorious villains in Skylands. It's up to you and the Skylanders to find and capture them. Using Traptanium, a magic material that can harness the power of the Elements, you have the amazing ability to trap the villains and return them to Skylands to fight for you! Begin the ultimate adventure as you explore Skylands in search of the escaped villains!

Skylanders Trap Team is now available for preorder and is scheduled to release for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii U, Nintendo Wii and Nintendo 3DS on October 5, 2014.
