SilencerCo has announced a new project in cooperation with Operation Supply Drop that will see the creation of five different, retro-inspired, limited edition t-shirts that will be sold for charity. $5 from each sale will go directly to Operation Supply Drop to aid in charity work and the upcoming 8-Bit Salute event. The charity works to help military veterans recover from combat related injuries, and fans can read on now to learn more and see one of the shirt designs below.
“Partnering with Operation Supply Drop enables us to pay homage to the incredible work of our military servicemen and women and show our love for video games in support of a good cause,” said Josh Waldron, chief executive officer for SilencerCo. “We are excited to be able to give something back to our troops in a fun, creative way that can be enjoyed by so many.”
In its third year, 8-Bit Salute is a 24-hour gaming marathon with a goal of raising $1 million (USD) to provide video game-themed care packages to troops deployed to combat zones or recovering in military hospitals. It will take place May 17–18.
“We are honored and pleased to be working with one of the most trusted brands in the outdoor sporting goods industry to support Operation Supply Drop and 8-Bit Salute," said chief marketing officer Glenn Banton of Operation Supply Drop. “SilencerCo joins an incredible roster of fantastic organizations who have answered the call, bolstering our efforts to provide much-needed diversion and stress relief to our embattled military brothers and sisters around the world.”
