Dishonored: The Corroded Man (Book Review)


Titan Books has released Dishonored: The Corroded Man for $7.99.

Book Synopsis:

Empress Emily Kaldwin leads a dual life, fulfilling her duties as Empress while training with her father, Corvo Attano, mastering the arts of stealth, combat, and assassination. A strange, shrouded figure appears in Dunwall, seeming to possess powers once wielded by the assassin known as Daud. Dishonored: The Corroded Man released on September 27th and delves deeper into the award-winning video game saga, Dishonored. The 384 page book by Adam Christopher does a fantastic job of taking readers on an action packed-ride through the perils that encompass the life of an assassin.

The Dishonored video game series has a diehard fan base that will surely appreciate the work and effort that went into creating the immersive storyline of The Corroded Man. The book features Corvo and Emily as the main protagonists with the rest of the series releasing in 2017. We can only hope to see more of the Dishonored lore as the book series progresses and hopefully learn a little more about the Empire.

In the end, Dishonored: The Corroded Man is a fantastic book that delves head on into the murky plot of the Dishonored universe. If you are a fan of the Dishonored game series then it is a no-brainer to pick up The Corroded Man.

Jackson County Fair in Scottsboro, Alabama (Event Review)

The Jackson County Fair has invaded Scottsboro, Alabama for the week of October 7-11, 2014, but the event may be a waste of money for some.  The fair was the 79th annual showing and was presented by Kissel Entertainment. The event featured rides, exhibits, games and great (yet too expensive) food for attendees at the show. Families could have enjoyed a great time at the fair grounds, but the event wasn't cheap and it didn't feature some of the more prominent attractions like one would find at larger, state fairs and carnivals. The turn out very low in Scottsboro though, and many would think that this would make it easier to enjoy the event but not even small lines could help make the Jackson County event fun.
