Pixel Heroes: Byte & Magic Review (PS4)

Pixel Heroes: Byte & Magic
has made its way to PlayStation 4 for $14.99.

Pixel Heroes: Byte & Magic is a nostalgic adventure that gives you the experiences of the classic days of gaming. The developers at The Bitfather wanted to give gamers an old-school experience and remind players of how ingeniously creative games use to be.

The RPG is dosed full of humor with retro throwbacks to the old ways of gaming. Pixel Heroes: Byte & Magic involves an ancient cult called The Sons of Dawn who worship a dark and mysterious god. This cult is now recruiting people for its bidding and might want to stir up more chaos then the world can handle. Their actions are leading down a dangerous path that could destroy everything.

Once you boot up the game, players into this old-school world populated by Pixel Heroes and start to prepare yourself for the adventure ahead. There is a lot to do in Pixel Heroes: Byte & Magic that includes fun events, dark dungeons and the and even some quirky NPCs to interact with. You are allowed to choose up to three heroes to join your party--each one has their own unique skills and abilities. It is up to your team of heroes to journey across the unknown world, collect awesome loot and then defeat the evil that wants to destroy the beautiful township of Pixton.

In the end, Pixel Heroes: Byte & Magic is a charming game for die-hard fans who love the feel of old-school RPGS. While the game is charming, there are a few flaws such as its repetitive gameplay. To learn more, visit the official Pixel Heroes: Byte & Magic PlayStation Store.

Buffet Bliss or Southern Swing-and-a-Miss? A Bite at Kacey’s in Huntsville

Walk through the doors of Kacey’s Country Cooking in Huntsville and you’re greeted by the comforting smell of fried chicken, collard greens, and cornbread that could double as perfume for any true Southerner. This is where the buffet line reigns supreme, the sweet tea flows endlessly, and dessert is always just an arm’s reach away. For many locals, Kacey’s is a comfort food paradise. Fans brag about the fried green tomatoes, juicy pork chops, slow-cooked beef tips, and banana pudding that deserves its own holiday. The staff are another highlight—quick with refills, friendly enough to feel like family, and the kind of people who can make a buffet feel like Sunday dinner at grandma’s. But Kacey’s has its critics too. Some diners rave about “the best bang for your buck in town,” while others complain that the food sometimes veers into “straight-from-the-can” territory. Like most buffets, it’s a roll of the dice: hit the line on a good day and you’ll be full and happy; catch it on an...
