Dragon Quest Builders 2: Tablet Objectives - 26 Tiles and Pet Breeding

So I have been playing a lot of Dragon Quest Builders 2 and just finished the optional tablet targets.

There were two tablet targets that I struggled with the most. One was to place 26 different tile types on your map. And the other was pet breeding.

Let's start with the 26 different tile types. First off, I was missing one type for the longest until I figured out I wasn't putting enough of it on the map. There are a few things you have to bring from the Explorer worlds back to yours which includes Muddy Water, Red Sand, Plasma, Basalt, Lava (and surrounding), and Poison. However, you have to place so many blocks before it counts. As in the picture below, this is how much red sand I had to put down before it unlocked.

A rule of thumb is to just pick up blocks from everywhere you visit then just place enough of each type around your island.

The next thing I struggled with mainly was due to glitches in the game that interfere with pet breeding. First, to breed pets or livestock, you must have an animal house built first.

The Animal House room recipe consists of a fenced in area with a gate that includes a hay stack, two pet beds and one pet bowl found under the farming segment. Then you will need to assign the pets to the animal house by placing resident signs in the area.  You can have multiple animals to one animal house.

You will need to feed your pets fish or steak in their pet bowl and interact with them daily. Once they reach 100% happiness, you can feed both pets a moreberry (gathered harvesting strawberries) and you will have a new pet by morning.

The game, however, can glitch up. So if your animals don't breed then relocate them between islands. And then back to where you started them. This can help it start working right.

Well that is all for now! Here are few pics of this week's Mandy LANE Creations:
