Eastbound & Down Returning for Final Season September 29

HBO has announced their hit comedy series, Eastbound & Down, will be returning for a fourth and final season beginning on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at 10PM ET/PT. The season will conclude the story of Kenny Powers over an eight-episode season by starting off where Season 3 ended, as Powers attempts to live out the American Dream with his family in North Carolina after faking his own death.

Eastbound & Down comes from creators Jody Hill and Danny McBride and stars McBride as major league player Kenny Powers. The show also stars Steve Little as Little Stevie and Powers' best friend as well as Katy Mixon as Powers' wife, April. Guest appearances for the final season will include Tim Heidecker as Gene and Ken Marino as talk-show host Guy Young. The third season of Eastbound & Down inspired raves, with People calling it “Terrific. The jokes take off on all sorts of unexpected trajectories – foul balls that score...Four out of four stars,” while Entertainment Weekly said, “You should make time to get down with ‘Down’,” giving the show an A-.
