About Us

Welcome to BioGamer Girl (BGG) — where gamers, geeks, foodies, film buffs, and fun-seekers unite under one wildly colorful roof. If it’s entertaining, imaginative, weird, tasty, spooky, geeky, or just plain cool… we’re already talking about it.

She launched BioGamer Girl to create an inclusive space where players of all backgrounds can feel seen, supported, and inspired. With a love for storytelling, quirky fun, and meaningful connections, Mandy leads with heart - proving that gaming can be both entertaining and empowering.

Whether coordinating projects or diving into her next favorite game, Alissa believes in the power of games to connect people and spark joy.

News Writer:  Justin Garcia - A lifelong gamer with a deep, tactile love for classic arcade titles and hands-on gameplay experiences. Justin moves effortlessly from joystick-mashing nostalgia and CRT-era cabinet charm to the inventive mechanics of modern indie gems, celebrating both the feel of a well-tuned controller and the thrill of discovery. Whether reviewing a retro reissue or profiling an experimental studio, Justin delivers clear, energetic features that prioritize the lived experience of play.

Writer:  Kirby Yablonski - He has been passionate about video games since childhood, with the first console he owned being the Intellivision. Although gaming was always part of his life, he did not return to being a diehard console player until the Sega Genesis era, where he spent countless hours playing NHLPA ‘93.

He began writing video game reviews in the late 1990s and went on to co-found the Canadian Online Gamers Network, which later evolved into COG Connected. Over the years he remained active in the gaming community and eventually helped resurrect Xbox Addict, a long-running gaming site that closed in 2025.

A fan of driving games, first-person shooters, and action-adventure titles, he was ultimately convinced by Mandy Valentine, founder of BioGamerGirl, to step out of retirement and contribute to the site on occasion.
