Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 and Call of Duty: Warzone are gearing up for the franchise’s largest content drop to date as Season 01 launches on December 4. From a new Zombies map and a massive Resurgence battleground to holiday events, weapons, and operators, Season 01 touches every corner of the game.
Activision has also released the official Season 01 trailer, offering a first look at the explosive updates and returning fan-favorite modes.
Black Ops 7 Endgame: Avalon Opens to All Players
As of November 21, Endgame’s sprawling Avalon map is free for all Black Ops 7 players. Season 01 adds even more reasons to dive in:
- New World Events: Battle a towering Zombies-inspired robot, survive hallucinations triggered by a neurotoxin outbreak, and later in the season, go head-to-head with an advanced fear-manifested VTOL.
- Eight New Exotic Skills: Earn powerful abilities through World Events — from self-revives and critical-damage boosts to devastating melee attacks. Mid-Season introduces the new Phantom Skill Track.
- CODMAS Arrives: The holidays hit Avalon with snowballs and festive Supply Boxes during a limited-time celebration.
Multiplayer Expands With New Maps and Modes
Season 01 launches with a packed slate of Multiplayer updates:
- New Maps: Discover new locales in Fate, Utopia, and Odysseus, plus a remastered Standoff. Just before CODMAS, players can jump into the holiday map variant Sleighjacked.
- New and Returning Modes: Classic Party Modes return, including Prop Hunt, Gun Game, One in the Chamber, Sharpshooter, and Sticks & Stones.
- New Scorestreak: The Deadeye Drone — an aerial drone armed with a sniper rifle — introduces new tactical playstyles with customizable Overclock abilities.
Zombies: Astra Malorum Leads a Massive Update
Zombies fans are in for a treat. The new round-based map Astra Malorum sends players to a mysterious observatory crawling with Dark Aether corruption. Highlights include:
- New Boss & Wonder Weapon: Face the O.S.C.A.R. Elite robot and wield the LGM-1 Wonder Weapon.
- Expanded Modes: Survive the new Exit 115 map, experience a guided Main Quest in the Directed mode for Ashes of the Damned, and unlock Cursed mode for an extra-challenging run in Astra Malorum.
- Returning Systems: Mule Kick returns with additional Augments, and new GobbleGums, Equipment, and Support items arrive Mid-Season.
- Leaderboard Event: Compete on a 30-player leaderboard in Astra Malorum for Camos, GobbleGums, and exclusive rewards.
Warzone: Haven’s Hollow and New POIs Inject Fresh Life
The Warzone integration with Black Ops 7 ushers in big gameplay changes, from movement and Loadouts to Perks and Equipment.
Season 01’s major additions include:
- New Resurgence Map — Haven’s Hollow: A new Appalachian-themed arena filled with rustic Americana and fast-paced combat opportunities.
- New Verdansk POIs: Discover the interactive Signal Station, rewarding squads with visual intel, and loot the returning Factory from Verdansk ’84.
- Seasonal Modes: Battle Royale and Resurgence playlists expand, including a limited-time CODMAS mode.
Across All Modes: Weapons, Events, and Rewards
Players can expect new content throughout the season:
- New Weapons: The Kogot-7 SMG, Maddox RFB, Sokol 545 LMG, NX Ravager Crossbow, Ballistic Knife, Sturmwolf 45 SMG, and Hawker HX Sniper Rifle arrive in waves.
- New Challenges & Events: Weekly Challenges return with Camos, Loadout items, and XP rewards, plus a community-wide event encouraging players to work together.
- Battle Pass & BlackCell: Season 01 introduces new Blueprints, Operator Skins, Calling Cards, Finishing Moves, and more. BlackCell owners unlock the exclusive “Scorn” Operator.
- New Operators: Deploy as Dorne via the Battle Pass or Scorn via BlackCell.
- Store Updates: New bundles roll out including the CDL Launch Pack, Aerial Dominance, Dead Ranger, and more.
