Exclusive Interview: Actor Robert Downey Jr. Discusses The Avengers

The Avengers has an all-star cast that includes Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Samuel L. Jackson and Scarlett Johansson. Nick Fury of S.H.I.E.L.D. decides to bring together a team of super humans in order to save the planet from the wrath of Loki and his invading army.

Recently, BioGamer Girl had the opportunity to set down with some of the cast members and discuss The Avengers. Up first is Robert Downey Jr. who plays Tony Stark (Ironman) in The Avengers.

Read on for the highlights to our exclusive interview with Robert Downey Jr. and make sure to check out The Avengers which is in theaters now!

BioGamer Girl: How is it going from IRONMAN to working as a team on THE AVENGERS?

Robert Downey Jr.: It is up to the film makers to make it work, and if you have read the comics then you know some of the characters do not get along. In order for it to all work by the end of the film then everyone has to come together and put differences aside to do what needs to be done. All of the cast appreciated this great opportunity.

BioGamer Girl: How has it been balancing a new baby while finishing up THE AVENGERS?

Robert Downey Jr.: I feel so fortunate. Everyone seems to love the movie and we all had such a good time making it. Many of the cast members impressed me with their performances, and I really liked everybody.

BioGamer Girl: Tell us about your character Tony Stark in THE AVENGERS?

Robert Downey Jr.: He has always been a terrific character.  I loved being able to still be Tony while also having all this entertaining stuff going on with the other characters. The audience has been so receptive of the character and all of the die hard comic fans have finally got the film they had been waiting for.

Walk through the doors of Kacey’s Country Cooking in Huntsville and you’re greeted by the comforting smell of fried chicken, collard greens, and cornbread that could double as perfume for any true Southerner. This is where the buffet line reigns supreme, the sweet tea flows endlessly, and dessert is always just an arm’s reach away. For many locals, Kacey’s is a comfort food paradise. Fans brag about the fried green tomatoes, juicy pork chops, slow-cooked beef tips, and banana pudding that deserves its own holiday. The staff are another highlight—quick with refills, friendly enough to feel like family, and the kind of people who can make a buffet feel like Sunday dinner at grandma’s. But Kacey’s has its critics too. Some diners rave about “the best bang for your buck in town,” while others complain that the food sometimes veers into “straight-from-the-can” territory. Like most buffets, it’s a roll of the dice: hit the line on a good day and you’ll be full and happy; catch it on an...
