Exclusive Interview: Actress Scarlett Johansson Discusses Her Character Black Widow

You may remember Black Widow as a fictional character from the Marvel comics. In the comics she leads a mission to capture Captain Hero. In the 2012 film, The Avengers, you will instead find her by Captain Hero's side to save planet Earth. BioGamer Girl scored an exclusive interview with The Black widow herself, Scarlett Johansson. Read on for all the details!

BioGamer Girl: How was taking on the character of Black Widow and what can fans expect from
The Avengers?

Scarlett: It's always a challenge taking on a character that already has so many fans, and I feel fortunate that they accepted me as Black Widow. It is great to have a fan-base already invested, and you feel like part of the family. I love the character and she has an amazing back-story and especially since it's so rare to see such a strong female character in these types of movies. The Avengers is a non-stop, action adventure and there are tons of little surprises in there that die-hard fans will love!

BioGamer Girl: How does the character of Black Widow change from Ironman 2 to The Avengers film?

Scarlett: In Iron Man 2 we did not know a lot about Black Widow, and had only small glimpses of her true identity. The Avengers allows me to play her character without the many faces she had in Iron Man 2. You finally get to see more of who she really is and a look into her shady past. When we first find the Black Widow she is in Russia taking care of business and she is sent for by Nick Fury. Most of the characters are not completely on board at first, but she embraces it as just another job. There is a ton of heart behind the character in the film. She has feelings and the audience will relate to that just like they have in the Iron Man films. These are just regular people like you and me but they just happen to have super hero capabilities.
