Titanic Pigeon Forge (Museum Review)

Pigeon Forge, Tennessee is home to numerous attractions and is one of the best vacation destinations in the south, but one of the most talked about venues in the city is the Titanic museum from the Titanic Historical Society. Titanic Pigeon Forge opened its doors back in 2010 and also has a sister museum located in Branson, Missouri. Titanic Pigeon Forge features a massive two-story replica of the ship built and anchored in the nearby water. The outside of the museum even has an iceberg as part of its design, and the structure is home to numerous artifacts recovered from the actual ship. If you're planning on vacationing in either the Pigeon Forge or Branson area, you must visit this exciting and historically accurate attraction!

Upon entering Titantic Pigeon Forge, visitors are presented with a boarding ticket replica of an actual passenger who was onboard the ship in 1912, such as John Aster, and an audio recorder that gives plenty of important information on the historic structure. As visitors progress through the corridors of the ship, they will find various sections including the sleeping quarters, dining hall and more that are built to look exactly as the original with recorded audio that provides additional information on the items in the room. certain parts of the deck are angled and shaped to replicate what passengers faced while the ship was sinking. By the end of the tour, visitors will learn if their designated passenger survived the historic event and made it safely off the ship to the safety of rescue ships. The tour is very educational and features enough historically accurate information mixed with entertaining events to keep whole families excited and eager to learn more throughout the visit.

Titanic Pigeon Forge is a self paced tour that allows visitors to explore at their own pace and check out the parts of the ship they wish in any order. The experience is authenticated with friendly and helpful staff that are dressed as real passengers onboard the Titanic. The knowledgeable staff were very courteous and were always able to answer any questions thrown their way including very specific questions asked by my children. The staff were very dedicated to their work and helped make a great learning experience fully immersive by never leaving character while on the museum floor. The museum also had educational films on display for the less sociable visitors to watch to ensure visitors learn all they need to know about the Titanic.

Altogether, the Titanic Pigeon Forge attraction will occupy around two hours of time for you and your family, the memories of the visit will last you for many years to come. The museum recreates the event in a way that is both educational and highly entertaining, and you get to learn about the ship as well as its passengers and even hear some great survivor stories and recounts of that fateful day. In total, Titanic Pigeon Forge is home to over 400 priceless artifacts that can be seen nowhere else truly making this a one of a kind attraction. With tickets starting as low as $21.38 for an adult, $11.14 for children and family passes for $58.80, Titanic Pigeon Forge is an affordable attraction with plenty of special events ongoing throughout the year that should you and your family must visit at least once in your life.

Overall: Must Visit!
