Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 (Video Game Preview)

MercurySteam has been pretty quiet about Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 up until now. A few select press recently got the chance to attend special preview events in Madrid, Spain to get a closer look at the upcoming title for Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. The title is expected to release later this year with tons of new features. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 is a horrific new adventure that is set in an imagined open world. Players will get to finally step into the shoes of Dracula and get an epic conclusion to the Lords of Shadow series.

We find that Dracula is resurrected for a final time and craves to be finally free of his immortal bonds. Dracula has the ultimate foe, which happens to be Satan, who wants to bring on the apocalypse in order to have his revenge for his defeat many centuries ago. Dracula must earn his eternal rest through teaming up with Death and trying to reacquire his powers in order to defeat the Devil. Satan isn't Dracula's only problem and the Belmont clan has entered his castle in search of revenge. Players will finally get to uncover the truth behind the mysterious ancestry as they try to defeat all that stands in their way.

Gamers will find many new features in Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 as they now can become the ultimate villain. Players will collect all of Dracula's deadly powers and abilities which they must use strategically in order to advance through the game. Just pushing buttons will lead to your defeat in the new title, and players will have to learn to use their abilities effectively in order to carry out their mission. Beautiful new environments will enhance combat as you explore an open world that takes place in a modern day setting alongside the massive labyrinths of Dracula's castle.

Dracula will utilize his new found powers and dominate adversaries with brand-new abilities. Players will be able to become a real vampire where they can transform into mist to disappear into the darkness and even glamor and control their foes. Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 will feature new camera angles, enhanced platforming mechanics, and Titan fights which are set to take advantage of real time physics that allow "on the fly" player choices. You will have to drink blood in order to intensify your immortal powers and fuel your abilities.

Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 will be an epic conclusion to the Lords of Shadow saga and more will be revealed on the title as this year's E3 conference. We can not wait to see how the game progresses and what darkness lurks ahead. However, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 with its beautifully dark environments, enhanced gameplay and mechanics and superb storyline looks to be one of the best Castlevania games yet.

The demo covers your first four days on the job, teaching the systems while nudging you toward choices, obey protocol and keep the peace, or pry at the seams and uncover the post office’s darker purpose. Either way, those first shifts are a careful, uncanny invitat...

550 Geese Killed at the Request of an HOA — And the Question We Can’t Ignore

In Madison, Alabama, more than 550 geese were captured and killed in a single coordinated operation carried out by USDA Wildlife Services at the request of a homeowners association. What was described as a “population control effort” has ignited a deeper and far more uncomfortable conversation: When did wildlife become something we simply remove when it becomes inconvenient? According to reports from the Heritage Plantation HOA, the geese population had grown to levels they claimed were “five times” what was considered sustainable for the area. The association said it had spent years attempting non-lethal methods, including deterrents and egg management strategies, before ultimately requesting a full-scale cull approved under federal wildlife guidelines. Nine USDA agents carried out the operation. Within a single night, hundreds of birds that had been living, nesting, and raising young in the community were gone. The HOA cited concerns about sanitation, water quality, and public health...
