Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why'd You Steal Our Garbage?!! (Video Game Review)

Unless you've been living under a rock for the past three years, you've likely heard of the hit Cartoon Network show Adventure Time. The show stars Finn the Human and Jake the Dog as they save the day and chat up the many princesses in the Land of Ooo. The all new game Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why'd You Steal Our Garbage?!! from developer WayForward and D3Publisher is the perfect way to continue your fandom or discover the fun story and interesting characters for the first time.

Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why'd You Steal Our Garbage?!! features a brand new storyline written by show creator Pendleton Ward starring Finn and Jake. The duo wakes up one morning to discover their trash has been stolen by the bizarre Ice King and used to create a Garbage Princess. Eww, what was he thinking? So naturally, the bffs head out to teach him a lesson in true video game style complete with plenty of hidden treasures, epic boss encounters and some fun gameplay.

Action in the game plays out similar to many other side-scrolling action titles from previous generations. Players will guide Finn and Jake around the Land of Ooo while completing various objectives by carefully platforming across dangerous terrain, battling against enemies with different, unlockable abilities and collecting treasures that rank from anything to old pizza slices to ancient relics. Each character can unlock different abilities that can be utilized in combat such as powerful sword strikes or calling in wiggly arms to hit foes from a distance, and there are helpful abilities to help the duo around the game's environments as well including Jake transforming himself into a boat for Finn to cross water. The game features a true level of progression that constantly keeps the action moving forward.

Though many of the locations in the game and characters are easily recognizable, Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why'd You Steal Our Garbage?!! is presented with a classic presentation. The game's sound design oozes a classic gaming vibe from the simplistic in-game menus, to the chimes with each attack or other action performed in-game. The soundtrack is also expertly crafted with tones that sound ripped straight from the best NES themes. Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why'd You Steal Our Garbage?!! is a great game that you don't necessarily have to be a fan of the show to appreciate.

Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why'd You Steal Our Garbage?!! features plenty of characters and locations from the hit show including Princess Bubblegum, Tree Trunks and Lumpy Space Princess to make fans of the show feel right at home. With the Season 5 finale coming soon for the show and Summer 2013 being in full effect, there has never been a better time to check out this new release to learn more about the show and beat the heat (or take it with you on the go). An Intimate Evening with Damon Johnson at Back Forty Ballroom: A Perfect Night of Music and History in Fort Payne

There’s something special about seeing a great musician in a room that feels personal—where the stories are just as powerful as the songs. That’s exactly what the audience experienced on March 7, 2026 at 7:30 PM during “An Evening with Brother Cane’s Damon Johnson” at Back Forty Ballroom in downtown Fort Payne, Alabama. The venue itself sets the tone before the first note is even played. Back Forty Ballroom is tucked inside the beautifully restored W.B. Davis Hosiery Mill, a building that has stood in Fort Payne since 1889. Instead of stripping away the building’s history, the restoration celebrates it. Original brick walls, aged wooden beams, and warm ambient lighting create an atmosphere that feels both historic and welcoming. Walking into the ballroom feels like stepping into a piece of Alabama’s past—yet everything about the space is perfectly suited for modern events. The open layout, soft glow of string lights, and rustic textures make it ideal for weddings, concerts, and gathe...
