Crowdfunding Campaign Announced to Remake John Russo's 1982 Cult Classic Film MIDNIGHT

The original NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD film which was co-created by John Russo helped defined the zombie genre today. Let's face it people, there probably wouldn't be THE WALKING DEAD or RESIDENT EVIL movies without this breakthrough movie. Now John Russo is looking to remake his 1982 cult classic film MIDNIGHT and is seeking your help. A new Indiegogo campaign has been launched and is seeking $50,000 to help partially fund the upcoming movie. A ton of perks are included which are Executive and Associate Producer credits on IMDB and even a speaking role in the movie. John Russo, Co-Creator of the horror classic, NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD, wants to remake his 1982 film, MIDNIGHT! With partial funding for this project coming from the crowd sourcing community, John Russo will revisit his story and create an updated version of this cult classic film!

With twenty books published internationally, and nineteen feature movies in worldwide distribution, John A.Russo has been called "a living legend" in the independent film making world. John Russo began his career by co-authoring the screenplay for NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD which has spawned several sequels, and inspired many other films of the same genre! John's three books on the art and craft of movie making have become bibles of independent production. One of the them, SCARE TACTICS, has won a national award for Superior Achievement in Nonfiction. Quentin Tarantino, Darren Lynn Bousman and many other noted filmmakers have unabashedly stated that Russo's books have helped them to launch their careers.

Seeking $50,000 towards the production

This campaign will enable us to complete our film. Already in place are combinations of deferred fees, goods and services, and free locations, and accommodations that together will help to get the film produced. Even if we don't reach our goal, we will direct any funds accrued via this campaign towards the production and marketing of this film. Backing this project allows our director to film a truer vision of his classic horror novel, now updated for 2013. John Russo would like to remake THIS movie so he can do the things he could not 30 years ago. This film is in the very rare position in that it already has a distribution deal in place with R Squared Films. This means that our backers are contributing to a film that WILL BE SEEN.
