Upgrade to Next-Gen Call of Duty: Ghosts for Only $10

Developer Infinity Ward and publisher Activision announced today Call of Duty: Ghosts fans will be able to upgrade from PlayStation 3 to PlayStation 4 or Xbox 360 to Xbox One next generation versions of the game for only $10. The new deal will allow players to retain all of their statistics, unlocks and Season Pass content for no additional charge as well.

There will be several ways to upgrade to take advatage of the this offer. Activision announced Xbox 360 owners in the US will be given the option of purchasing a digital bundle of Call of Duty: Ghosts for $69.99 at participating retailers to unlock the game for Xbox 360 when the game arrives on November 5, 2013 and later on Xbox One as well. The Game Ahead Program will also allow Xbox 360 owners to purchase a digital copy of Call of Duty: Ghosts from the Xbox LIVE Marketplace for $59.99 and later download the game for Xbox One for just $10 before March 31, 2014.

PlayStation gamers will also have a chance to upgrade with similar deals. For a limited time, physical copies of Call of Duty: Ghosts on PlayStation 3 will come packaged with a flyer featuring a unique Sony code redeemable for one $10 purchase of Call of Duty: Ghosts download on the PlayStation Store. Similarly, PlayStation gamers can purchase a digital copy of Call of Duty: Ghosts for PlayStation 3 and later upgrade to a digital copy of the game for PlayStation 4 when it becomes available for only $10 on the same PlayStation Network account. Best Buy (US)
Players who buy the Xbox 360 version of Call of Duty: Ghosts will receive a $10 coupon via e-mail valid towards the purchase of the Xbox One version of Call of Duty: Ghosts. Then, when ready to upgrade, players can exchange their Xbox 360 copy of the game for a minimum value of $40, which combined with the $10 coupon will allow them to get the Xbox One version for $9.99.
