Little Big Adventure Gets New Update For iOS and Android Devices

DotEmu  has revealed that Little Big Adventure has received a new update via iTunes, Google Play, Amazon and App Store.

DotEmu, developer and publisher of modern remakes of classic retro games, today announced a significant update to Little Big Adventure, available now via iTunes, Google Play and the Amazon App Store. Called “as charming as it was before” by 148 Apps, this modern version of the highly acclaimed Relentless: Twinsen’s Adventure includes an overhaul of the pathfinding system, mobile gaming controller support and much-requested gameplay enhancements.

Relentless: Twinsen’s Adventure, created in 1994 for PC and the original PlayStation by video game design legend Frederick Raynal (Alone in the Dark), featured 32-bit, 3D isometric gameplay in an outer-space setting. The game’s hero, Twinsen, teams up with a group of rebels to defeat the evil Dr. FunFrock, save his girlfriend Zoe and rescue the planet. The modern version, renamed Little Big Adventure, includes all the original characters, music and gameplay beloved by fans, with enhancements and optimized controls unique to current mobile devices.

“Our fans have been incredibly supportive, with extensive feedback that has allowed us to truly honor a classic game, while optimizing it for a new platform,” said Xavier Liard, CEO and co-founder at DotEmu. “We are confident that long-time fans and newcomers will love playing Little Big Adventure with these enhancements.”

Specific improvements and upgrades include:

  • Improved, simplified pathfinding
  • New optional control scheme: virtual Pad
  • New manual saving mode, with area-based checkpoints
  • Game controllers now supported: iOS 7, MOGA, M.O.J.O, SHIELD, etc.

As a special thank you to the community that provided invaluable input and enhancement suggestions, Little Big Adventure is available for a limited time at nearly half off its normal price. Fans of this reborn retro classic or those that love tongue-in-cheek adventure games can now purchase Little Big Adventure for only $2.99 USD / 2.69€ on iTunes, Google Play and the Amazon App Store.
