The Walking Dead Season 2: Episode 2 - A House Divided left players on a big cliffhanger after revealing one character isn't quite who we had expected during the episode. The Walking Dead Season 2: Episode 3 - In Harm's Way picks up in the aftermath of that storyline and finds Clementine in one of the worst situations yet. The Walking Dead Season 2: Episode 3 - In Harm's Way is easily the most entertaining and sad stories featured so far in the second season, and players will find the choices they make during the episode will stick with them long after they've turned off the game.
Fans will likely have an idea how the new episode will turn out even when they boot up The Walking Dead Season 2: Episode 3 - In Harm's Way for the first time. The game franchise, television series and comic series all seem like there will never be a happy ending in sight, and after the events of the previous episode, it seems things will only get a lot worse for Clementine and the gang before they get any better. Only time will tell how this story will eventually shake out, even at the end of the episode, but fans should probably prepare for the worst as the tale moves forward.
Gameplay in the title hasn't changed much since the beginning of the season. Action sequences in the title still play out with players mashing a series of on screen prompts to progress without dying, though surviving in the new setting means doing a lot more than dodging a few slow moving zombies. The new episode does introduce some new puzzles to solve that are unlike anything the series has seen so far though, so it's a rewarding episode that is one of the most fun developer Telltale Games has put out yet.
Voice actress Melissa Hutchinson delivers another strong performance as Clementine in the new episode. Fans will have already become attached to the character over the time spent with her on the first and second season, but it's the other characters in the new season that will keep players interested through the remainder of the episodes. Telltale Games has done a wonderful job of recruiting voice actors that not only fit each character model, but they've found ones that can deliver strong performances as well.
The Walking Dead Season 2: Episode 3 - In Harm's Way will make players change how they typically choose to play as Clementine in order to survive. The game offers plenty of tough choices that don't really have any right answers. The countdown timers never seem as short as they do in the new episode, and players will have a tough time accepting any choice they make under these extreme situations. The Walking Dead Season 2: Episode 3 - In Harm's Way is a great release for one of the best storytelling series around. Don't hesitate to download your copy.
The Walking Dead Season 2: Episode 3 - In Harm's Way is now available for PlayStation Network, Xbox LIVE Arcade, Steam and iOS and can be purchased for $4.99. The Walking Dead Season 2: Episode 3 - In Harm's Way is rated M by the ESRB for Intense Violence, Blood and Gore & Strong Language.
