Skylanders SuperChargers Take On The Holidays With Missle-Tow Dive-Clops Leading The Way

With Christmas right around the corner, Activision has sent over some holiday Skylanders to get gamers into the holiday spirit. Let's check them out!

Some of the characters/vehicles joining the celebration include Missle-Tow Dive Clops, Shield Striker, Sky Racing Pack, Splat, Splatter Splasher and Thump Truck.

If you could manufacture happiness--this is what it would look like! Look at these fantastically designed new additions that magically appeal to everyone's inner child. We recommend adding all of these to your stocking this year!

Thump Truck

Thump Truck is Smash Hit’s personal wrecking machine that was built for one purpose – total destruction! It has been heavily modified with earth crunching iron jaws, a gravel exhaust port, and armored steel plating for ultimate toughness!

Our thoughts:
"Remember your favorite Tonka Dump Truck as a kid? Now imagine that toy if it was supercharged! That is the Thump Truck!"

Splatter Splasher

The Splatter Splasher is a high speed hydro-craft that leaves evil floating in its wake! With its ultra-slick armor and underwater enchantment, Splat’s custom ride is a force to be reckoned with above and below the surface!

Our thoughts:
"Imagine the batmobile on water--but magically delicious."

Splat

Splat grew up in a typical faun village which was perfectly manicured and orderly. Every day in school, she and her classmates would recite the same poems, play the same music, and paint the same picture – which was always a portrait of their great ancestor, Fluty Hoofdancer. But this didn’t suit Splat. The only art she wanted to learn was the art of war! After school, she would sneak off to the river and practice her own free form fighting technique against Chompies and other creatures that were causing trouble. When the elder fauns learned of this, they were outraged. But soon thereafter, a band of Drow attacked the village to steal their valuable art, and while the other fauns cowered in fear, Splat stood her ground. Unleashing her self-taught fighting style, she defended her village and sent the Drow running. Now as a member of the Skylanders, Splat makes quite the impression wherever she
goes!

Our thoughts:
"My Little Pony meets Xena Warrior Princess."

Sky Racing Pack
Astroblast is an adventurous space cowboy that will go to the edge and beyond to put a stop to Kaos! While on a secret mission in troll territory, Astroblast crash landed on a remote island where he stumbled upon an ancient relic not been seen in thousands of years – a legendary Rift Engine. These magical machines were believed to have the power to travel through the portals between Skylands and other worlds! Shortly after the discovery, an army of trolls appeared on a nearby canyon ridge and quickly charged toward Astroblast. Knowing that the Rift Engine would be very dangerous in the wrong hand, he pulled out his pulse laser and prepared to defend the relic against the incoming horde. After an epic shootout, the trolls fled in defeat. When Astroblast then brought the relic back to his ship, the Sun Runner, it surged with power and a hologram of Master Eon appeared. Eon thanked him for saving the Rift Engine and beckoned him to return it the Skylander Academy. Astroblast accepted the invitation and was made a Skylander shortly thereafter.

The Sun Runner is a prototype spaceship built to recover items that are lost when traveling through the portals. Its anti-gravity capabilities and speedy acceleration allow Astroblast to get the jump on bad guys before they know what hit them!

Our thoughts:
"You're a golden sky god/space cowboy with a give em' hell attitude."

The Shield Striker

The Shield Striker is the ultimate weapon against evil. Heavily armored and surging with electricity, High-Volt’s high-powered machine is geared up to enforce justice on anything that stands in its way!

Our thoughts:
"If Thor went 'Back to the Future'--this would be it."

Missle Tow

Every Skylander celebrates the holiday season in their special way. For some, it means exchanging thoughtful gifts. For others, it means over-indulging in delicious wintery sweets. But for Dive-Clops, it means keeping the time-honored tradition of hiding beneath the Academy archways to shoot candy-coated missiles at his fellow Skylanders that pass by. In all fairness, he does hang a sign that reads “Ho-Ho-Ho… Lookout Below!”

Our thoughts:
"Imagine BioShock's Big Daddy went to the North Pole with a lot more personality."

Christmas never seemed brighter than it does in Skylanders SuperChargers. All of the new toys are fantastically designed with all of the exquisite detail that fans are used to. If you are looking for a way to amp up your replayability during the holidays then make sure to check out all of these great new additions for Skylanders SuperChargers including the new Eon's Elite characters.

Recommendation: Must-Buy

Blood, Salt, and Unconditional Love: Why Sam and Dean Winchester Transcended Television

When Supernatural debuted on television screens back in 2005, it posed as a gritty, urban-legend-of-the-week horror show.
