Skylanders Academy Gets New Trailer Before October 28 Release


Activision has released a new trailer for Skylanders Academy.

Activision Blizzard, Inc. (NASDAQ: ATVI) is pleased to share the new trailer for the animated series SkylandersTM Academy, which will premiere exclusively on Netflix on Friday, October 28th. A Netflix original series for kids, Skylanders Academy is the first production created by Activision Blizzard Studios.




Based on Activision Blizzard’s pioneering Skylanders® video game franchise, Skylanders Academy follows the heroic adventures of Spyro, Eruptor, Stealth Elf, Jet-Vac and Pop Fizz as they travel the vast Skylands universe, protecting it from evil-doers. Skylanders Academy promises to keep viewers on the edge of their seats with epic action for kids of all ages.

Led by showrunner Eric Rogers (Futurama), the series features the voices of Justin Long (Dodge Ball) as Spyro; Ashley Tisdale (High School Musical) as Stealth Elf; Jonathan Banks (Breaking Bad) as Eruptor; and Norm MacDonald (Saturday Night Live) as Glumshanks. Additional voice talent includes Susan Sarandon, Daniel Wu, Bobcat Goldthwait, The Diamond Minecart, Parker Posey, James Hetfield, Catherine O’Hara, Chris Diamantopoulos and Harland Williams, among others.

Activision Blizzard Studios Co-Presidents Stacey Sher and Nick van Dyk are joined by Activision Blizzard CEO Bobby Kotick and Sander Schwartz, the Emmy award-winning producer of animated hits including The Batman and The Aquabats! Super Show!, as the show’s executive producers. Skylanders Academy is animated by the internationally acclaimed TeamTO studio in France.

Join Netflix audiences worldwide as they learn the “Skylanders Way” on October 28. Season 2 of Skylanders Academy will premiere on Netflix in late 2017. The newest Skylanders game, Skylanders Imaginators, empowers players to unleash their imaginations by giving them the freedom to create their own Skylanders. It will be on store shelves worldwide on October 16, 2016.

Jackson County Fair in Scottsboro, Alabama (Event Review)

The Jackson County Fair has invaded Scottsboro, Alabama for the week of October 7-11, 2014, but the event may be a waste of money for some.  The fair was the 79th annual showing and was presented by Kissel Entertainment. The event featured rides, exhibits, games and great (yet too expensive) food for attendees at the show. Families could have enjoyed a great time at the fair grounds, but the event wasn't cheap and it didn't feature some of the more prominent attractions like one would find at larger, state fairs and carnivals. The turn out very low in Scottsboro though, and many would think that this would make it easier to enjoy the event but not even small lines could help make the Jackson County event fun. The Jackson County Fair had over a dozen rides for all age groups.
