castAR Bringing New Augmented Reality Platform To Gamers In 2017


castAR hires development team Eat Sleep Play to release new augmented reality platform in 2017.

castAR, which is bringing a new augmented reality gaming platform to market in 2017, announced today it has hired the development team of Eat Sleep Play, a leading creator of mobile and console game titles. This team brings in another collection of experienced and successful studio talent to castAR’s previously announced Salt Lake City studio, further strengthening the company’s focus towards creating platform defining gaming experiences for the castAR system.

“Eat Sleep Play had a 20 year track record of pleasing gamers by contributing to countless top rated console and mobile franchises, from Twisted Metal to Warhawk and more and we are thrilled to have their experienced developers join the castAR Salt Lake City team,” said Steve Parkis, President and COO of castAR. “The continued expansion of our development staff brings together an all-star content creation team focused on developing augmented reality experiences, and increases our momentum towards launching the first mass market augmented reality gaming platform.”

The team of talented developers from Eat Sleep Play, led by industry veteran Scott Campbell, will be joining forces with the recently formed castAR Salt Lake City team currently comprised of former Avalanche software developers who most recently worked on the Disney Infinity franchise.
