BioGamer Girl Hopes To Raise Stroke Awareness and Capture Attendees' Inner Superhero at Huntsville Comic & Pop Culture Expo 2017


BioGamer Girl is proud to announce it will be sponsoring a fund-raising event at the Expo where all proceeds go to the National Stroke Association. Throughout the Expo, anyone who donates will be provided with a raffle ticket giving them a chance to win a slew of video games consisting of exciting titles like Skylanders SuperChargers, Hitman, Deus Ex, Cartoon Network’s Battle Crashers, Pirate Pop Plus and many more.

We will also have a variety of Limited Edition signed prints available for free alongside a Superhero Selfie Booth that is certain to capture the super and memorable times you are having at the Huntsville Comic & Pop Culture Expo. As an added bonus, Game Informer’s Dan Tack will be making a special appearance and also be on hand with 50 free issues of Game Informer Magazine to sign for fans.



The National Stroke Association is a deeply personal cause to BioGamer Girl. CEO and Founder Amanda Dyar is a stroke survivor and currently works as the Head of Marketing and PR for Excellance, Inc. Excellance is a company manufacturing revolutionary, custom-made new ambulances that have a CT scanner and telemedicine unit on-board to treat patients suspected of stroke while on the scene.

About Amanda Dyar
A native of Southern Texas, Amanda Dyar spent most of her youth in Tennessee where she played football on her high school team. Amanda later moved to Alabama where she wrote her first short story at age 6 and went on to publish several books based off her collections of writings. At age 17, Amanda graduated with her first degree in Pre-Law and continued her higher learning over the next 10 years, receiving four more academic degrees. She went on to start her own publication dedicated to gaming and horror called BioGamer Girl. Known for her expertise in gaming and horror, Amanda has written for several publications including America's Horror Magazine Fangoria, Dread Central, Rue Morgue, The Escapist, Geek & Sundry, Blumhouse and many more. Amanda has modeled for various comic books and began her film career with the creation of her short film Growing Up Zombie! She now has over 100 film credits on IMDB. Her first Public Relations job was for Curse, Inc. where she managed to take the company to new heights leading to a $30 million-dollar investment from Riot Games and a later acquisition by Twitch. She is currently the Head of Marketing and PR for Excellance, Inc. and the CEO of BioGamer Girl.

Huntsville Comic & Pop Culture Expo 2026 Wrap-Up

Another year, another packed weekend of fandom in the Rocket City The 2026 Huntsville Comic & Pop Culture Expo has officially wrapped, closing out three energetic days at the Von Braun Center and once again proving why it’s considered Alabama’s largest celebration of geek culture.
