Review: Sonic Origins - Xbox One

Sonic the Hedgehog
is a renowned video game franchise that has been entertaining gamers since 1991. The franchise has faced a few challenges, but it still remains relevant and popular today. Recently, Sega announced Sonic Origins, an upcoming video game that will feature the four classic Sonic games: Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, and Sonic and Knuckles. Sonic Origins  introduces new content and features, making it a must-play title for long-time Sonic fans and newcomers alike.

One of the primary reasons Sonic Origins is generating a lot of buzz is that the classic Sonic the Hedgehog games are widely regarded as some of the best and most iconic games of all time. Sonic the Hedgehog was the first game in the series and introduced Sonic, the blue hedgehog, and his quest to stop the evil Dr. Eggman. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 introduced Tails, Sonic's best friend, and a new two-player mode that allowed players to compete in split-screen. Sonic the Hedgehog 3 introduced Knuckles, a new playable character, and new power-ups, including the double jump and the elemental shields. Finally, Sonic and Knuckles introduced the ability to stack the previous three games and play through them as one long adventure.

Despite their age, the classic Sonic games are still a lot of fun to play today. The games are fast-paced, action-packed, and feature some of the catchiest music and sound effects in gaming history. The games' graphics and art style have also stood the test of time, and their simplicity and bright colors are still pleasing to the eye. The Art Book also includes commentary from the games' original creators, providing insight into Sonic's development and design. Sonic Origins also includes a new in-game menu, allowing players to choose between playing the original games or playing versions of the games with added features and new content.

Players who choose to play the updated versions of the games will be treated to a variety of modern features, including achievements and trophies, leaderboards, and online multiplayer support. The Jackson County Fair has invaded Scottsboro, Alabama for the week of October 7-11, 2014, but the event may be a waste of money for some.  The fair was the 79th annual showing and was presented by Kissel Entertainment. The event featured rides, exhibits, games and great (yet too expensive) food for attendees at the show.
