Huntsville Comic and Pop Culture Expo 2024: A Celebration of All Things Geek


If you are a fan of comics, movies, games, anime, cosplay, or any other aspect of pop culture, you will not want to miss the Huntsville Comic and Pop Culture Expo 2024. The ninth annual event will take place from April 12 to 14 at the Von Braun Center in downtown Huntsville, and will feature a variety of activities, guests, vendors, and panels for all ages and interests.

The Expo is a family-friendly and locally-run show that aims to provide an affordable and fun experience for fans of all genres and media. Since 2017, the Expo has grown from a small gathering of enthusiasts to a major attraction that draws thousands of visitors from across the region and beyond. In 2023, the Expo had over 18,000 attendees and raised $15,000 for Kids to Love, a North Alabama charity that supports foster children.

The 2024 Expo promises to be even bigger and better, with more than 100 vendors, artists, and authors offering a wide range of products and services, from comic books and toys to jewelry and posters. The Expo will also host several special celebrity guests, including actors, voice actors, writers, and artists from popular shows and movies.

The Expo will also feature various events and contests, such as cosplay contests, gaming rooms, discussion panels, a charity auction, and more. There will be something for everyone, whether you want to show off your costume, meet your favorite stars, learn new skills, or just have fun with fellow fans.

The Expo will run from Friday, April 12, 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, April 13, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Sunday, April 14, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tickets are available online at Huntsville Expo or at the door. Prices vary depending on the day and type of ticket. Children under 10 are free with a paid adult.

Jackson County Fair in Scottsboro, Alabama (Event Review)

The Jackson County Fair has invaded Scottsboro, Alabama for the week of October 7-11, 2014, but the event may be a waste of money for some.  The fair was the 79th annual showing and was presented by Kissel Entertainment. The event featured rides, exhibits, games and great (yet too expensive) food for attendees at the show. Families could have enjoyed a great time at the fair grounds, but the event wasn't cheap and it didn't feature some of the more prominent attractions like one would find at larger, state fairs and carnivals. The turn out very low in Scottsboro though, and many would think that this would make it easier to enjoy the event but not even small lines could help make the Jackson County event fun.
