Deadline for Atari's Pong Indie Developer Challenge is April 15, 2012

The deadline to receive entries into Atari's Pong Indie Developer Challenge is fast approaching. Although winners will not be announced until August 2, 2012, entries into the contest will only be accepted until April 15, 2012. This is when 20 semifinalists will be chosen to compete in the next round of the contest, so get your entries in now. This will be your last chance to send in your project and have a chance to win the rev-share agreement and $50,000 grand prize, so read on for more details!

Contest Details Including Key Dates


All semi-finalists will then begin work on a playable demo and receive support on the production of a video trailer. Trailers will be featured across Atari’s various properties that reach millions of fans and receive publicity support from other third party outlets. A celebrity judging panel consisting of Nolan Bushnell, Dave Castelnuovo, David Whatley and Mick Schramm will then identify up to 10 finalists, who will all be featured on Atari's Developer Spotlight where Atari fans can see each developer’s profile and contest submission. The finalists, announced June 19, 2012, will be awarded three-year rev-share publishing agreements and cash prizes based on their final ranking: $50,000 to first place, $37,500 to second, $15,000 to third, and $5,000 each to the remaining finalists.
