Linkin Park's Recharge Coming Soon to Facebook

One of the biggest rock bands in the world Linkin Park is teaming up with game developer kuuluu Interactive Entertainment to create a unique social game with a greater meaning behind the gameplay. Linkin Park is a well known supporter of various charities and programs designed to keep our environment clean and safe including their self founded program called Music for Relief that brings together musicians and music fans that care about helping others through disaster relief, reducing global warming and other helpful volunteer work. Linkin Park also created the Power the World program that is calling for pledges as low as $10 to help 1 million families gain access to the precious renewable resource of electricity that so many have to live without everyday.

Linkin Park's Recharge combines these beliefs to create a brand new social game that imagines a near future world where humans have used up all of Earth's natural resources. The few resources that remain have been seized by robots and dangerous cyborg gangs, and it will be up to you and your Facebook friends to join up and fight these dreadful enemies by harnessing the power of pure energy and find a clean, sustainable energy source for the world to enjoy. You can check out a trailer for the exciting new game below and also watch an interview with Linkin Park's Mike Shinoda where he talks about their foundations and Linkin Park's Recharged.

For more information on the game, check out the official Linkin Park Recharge website.

Jackson County Fair in Scottsboro, Alabama (Event Review)

The Jackson County Fair has invaded Scottsboro, Alabama for the week of October 7-11, 2014, but the event may be a waste of money for some.  The fair was the 79th annual showing and was presented by Kissel Entertainment. The event featured rides, exhibits, games and great (yet too expensive) food for attendees at the show. Families could have enjoyed a great time at the fair grounds, but the event wasn't cheap and it didn't feature some of the more prominent attractions like one would find at larger, state fairs and carnivals. The turn out very low in Scottsboro though, and many would think that this would make it easier to enjoy the event but not even small lines could help make the Jackson County event fun. The Jackson County Fair had over a dozen rides for all age groups. The fair's massive Ferris Wheel towered high in the sky and helped light up the event, while the Moby Dick ride and Gravitron also looked fearsome and stood tall even from a distance. Plenty of ...
