Exclusive: Supernatural Interview with Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles

Supernatural: Season 8 will air on October 3, 2012. Jensen Ackles returns to the directing chair as he has in the previous two seasons. The episode is entitled “Heartache” where Sam will have his first love interest since Ruby. The character Ameila will be played by actress Liane Balaban.  BioGamer Girl was able to set down with Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles to discuss the upcoming season.

BioGamer Girl:
A possible love interest will be revealed for Sam in the upcoming season. Can you tell us about that as well as a glimpse of what is to come?

Jared Padalecki: Her name is Amelia. The love interest content you will see will mostly be through flashback. In the new seasonSam is on his own and is able to walk away since Bobby, Cass and Dean are gone. Dean and Cass  just vanished, and he doesn't know where to start.  It wasn't like when Dean went to Hell, and Sam knew where he was. I have always wanted to see the characters outside of one another and this will happen in the new season. He will kind of be able to live his own lifesomething he has never been able to do. The most important part of the show is the Sam and Dean relationship, but now we will be able to see more of them as individual people. Sam use to have people that were still out there like his dad and other people he knew. Now he is likeI have given what I gotno more. There are tons of stories the audience hasn't seen and now will get to by fleshing out Sam and Dean individually.

BioGamer Girl: In the upcoming season you will be directing another episode like you have for the previous two seasons. What can you tell us about that and the season as a whole?

Jensen Ackles: I will be directing a stand-alone episode that will air as episode 3 or 4 in the upcoming season entitled "Heartache." There will be a flashback to what Sam's life was like when Dean was in purgatory. This will spread out into the other episodes as you learn more about what their lives were like when they were separated. When Dean is in purgatory we are  introduced to a new character who offers to help him escape but expects something in return. The character isn't a good guy and doesn‘t go away quickly. Some secrets are revealed that Dean hasn't told Sam yet surrounding his time in Hell increasing his indebtedness to this evil character.
