Activision's Wipeout Splashes Onto The App Store

Activision has released Wipeout onto the App Store, and it is already making a huge splash! The game is based off the hit television show by the same name and will allow players to face new courses not even see on the show.

Try to survive America’s most over-the-top obstacle courses in the Wipeout game for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch - now available in the App Store! Get ready for tons of new obstacles and exclusive courses not seen on the hit TV show, plus old favorites like Big Balls and Sucker Punch –all using controls developed specifically for iOS and touch input.

In addition to over-the-top, mind-blowing wipeouts, players can select from a crazy cast of contestants—each with different skills—to run the course. It’s not just about the wipeouts though! Style points are awarded for wins along with wipeouts, so no one goes home empty handed. Rack up enough style points and you can unlock new levels.
