Activision's Wipeout Splashes Onto The App Store

Activision has released Wipeout onto the App Store, and it is already making a huge splash! The game is based off the hit television show by the same name and will allow players to face new courses not even see on the show.


Try to survive America’s most over-the-top obstacle courses in the Wipeout game for iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch - now available in the App Store! Get ready for tons of new obstacles and exclusive courses not seen on the hit TV show, plus old favorites like Big Balls and Sucker Punch –all using controls developed specifically for iOS and touch input.

In addition to over-the-top, mind-blowing wipeouts, players can select from a crazy cast of contestants—each with different skills—to run the course. It’s not just about the wipeouts though! Style points are awarded for wins along with wipeouts, so no one goes home empty handed. Rack up enough style points and you can unlock new levels. Visit the in-game Wipeout store and use ballsy bucks to enhance your winning abilities with new characters and power-up helmets!

Jackson County Fair in Scottsboro, Alabama (Event Review)

The Jackson County Fair has invaded Scottsboro, Alabama for the week of October 7-11, 2014, but the event may be a waste of money for some.  The fair was the 79th annual showing and was presented by Kissel Entertainment. The event featured rides, exhibits, games and great (yet too expensive) food for attendees at the show. Families could have enjoyed a great time at the fair grounds, but the event wasn't cheap and it didn't feature some of the more prominent attractions like one would find at larger, state fairs and carnivals. The turn out very low in Scottsboro though, and many would think that this would make it easier to enjoy the event but not even small lines could help make the Jackson County event fun.
