Catch the First Call of Duty: Ghosts Multiplayer Reveal Trailer (Preview)

Developer Infinity Ward and publisher Activision have revealed the first multiplayer trailer for their highly anticipated title Call of Duty: Ghosts. The game will be packed with tons of new features, all of which will be available for current generation platforms plus Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The new game is much more than new weapons and a new aesthetic, and you can see the game in action in the trailer now.

Some of the new features in Call of Duty: Ghosts include the ability to fully customize soldiers along with the classes for each soldier. For the first time ever, players will be allowed to battle it out as a female soldier in Call of Duty: Ghosts. Other new options allow players to choose heads, bodies and clothes for a character along with weapons and equipment. Speaking of weapons, there are tons of new ones in Call of Duty: Ghosts that the developers claimed was "80% more in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3." The Perk system will be returning with an overhauled version as well that includes 35 unique Perks and a new point system that costs a player so many points to equip each Perk up to 8 or 11 with no secondary gun and equipment. New killstreaks for the game will include the ability to call in Riley, the dog companion from the game's single campaign, to fight alongside the player and sniff out enemies or to call out a UAV that is placed on the ground by the player.

A new game mode called Cranked was revealed at the Call of Duty: Ghosts multiplayer reveal event. In this mode, players will have to get a kill 30 seconds after the first, or they will explode. The mode is very intense and discourages camping with a frantic dash towards enemies and the next kill for the player to stay alive. The game will also introduce a variant of Search & Destroy called Search & Rescue that allows teammates to collect dropped dog tags from dead teammates to have them respawn and join back in the fight.

Call of Duty: Ghosts will feature tons of new presentation features. Of course, the game's graphics have been improved, but players will now move around stages more fluidly than ever before. Soldiers will quickly vault over low lying obstacles without losing any momentum, likewise running players can slide to prone without losing momentum. Another new feature allows players to peek around corners while aimed down the scope without fully revealing their body. Audio has also been greatly enhanced to make gunfire sound much more realistic whether in an up close gunfight or hearing gunshots from across the map. Soldiers in the game also call out enemy positions on the map when possible to help locate the hot spots on the map.

Players will be able to customize soldiers in Call of Duty: Ghosts and also create complete squads with up to 10 soldiers that have their own unique look, loadouts and style of play. The advanced AI in the system allows custom characters to be battled against that use tactics of real players including drop shotting, corner camping and jumping while shooting to make AI characters just as annoying as real players while allowing beginning players a chance to practice against all styles of players before heading online. Squads can also be used to link with other players online to compete for unique in-game challenges, earn bonus experience points and Prestige together or simply enjoy some games together in cooperative play.

One other cool new feature takes advantage of mobile technology to allow players to gain additional information during matches with the use of their tablet or phone. Players will be able to find and manage Clans in Call of Duty: Ghosts as well as look up stats, manage soldiers and more with the account associated with the new app. There are even social features included in the new mobile support, so your friends can see who was carrying them in the previous Clan match on Twitter and Facebook. Look for all of the exciting new features coming to Call of Duty: Ghosts and read on for more details!
