Download Crackdown and Dead Rising 2 Free in August with Games with Gold Program

Microsoft has announced the next lineup of games Xbox LIVE Gold Members will receive for free as part of the Games with Gold program. Players can currently download a free copy of the hit game Crackdown, and beginning on August 16, 2013, players will be able to download the two games Dead Rising 2 and Dead Rising: Case Zero free of charge.

Crackdown saw success during the earlier years of the Xbox 360 with an open world adventure that featured exciting cooperative gameplay with players dealing out justice as a futuristic police squad. It also didn't hurt the game's chances at success that it came packed with free access to the Halo 3 multiplayer beta! Xbox LIVE Gold Members will also be able to enjoy zombie killing fun and try their luck at winning big at the casinos of Fortune City in Capcom's Dead Rising 2. The game introduced cooperative gameplay for the first time in the series over Xbox LIVE and featured a brand new protagonist in Chuck Greene. As a special bonus, fans will also be able to download the Xbox LIVE Arcade title Dead Rising: Case Zero for a prequel for the game set between the events of the first and second game. Check out all three titles free this month on Xbox LIVE!

For more information on all of the free games coming to Xbox LIVE Gold Members, check out the official Games with Gold website.

The demo covers your first four days on the job, teaching the systems while nudging you toward choices, obey protocol and keep the peace, or pry at the seams and uncover the post office’s darker purpose. Either way, those first shifts are a careful, uncanny invitat...
