Alien Creeps TD (Video Game Preview)

Outplay Entertainment has announced the upcoming release of Alien Creeps TD for iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad. Alien Creeps TD is a free-to-play game for iOS devices that allows gamers to speed up their progress by buying in-app purchases. However, if you do not want in-app purchases activated, then they can be turned off via the general settings on your device. BioGamer Girl recently had the chance to spend some hands-on time with Alien Creeps TD before its official release and you can check out our full preview ahead! Read on.

Alien Creeps TD
starts out with enemies at your gates with players being prompted to take control of their defenses to stop impeding doom. Your enemies are not of this planet and attack within minutes of the game starting with your Telsa Tower being left with only one charge in it. The Telsa Tower must be used to save your troops and your base before it is too late.

The controls in Alien Creeps TD are simplistic and responsive with players using their fingers to drag their Telsa Tower attacks across the screen to zap their enemies with a touch of a finger. Once your Telsa Tower is depleted then players will be ordered to build a new Machine Gun Tower to fire upon the creeps with explosive, action-packed combat. The game guides the player by showcasing green arrows for their next mission objective with very few choices being unlocked at the beginning of the game. A great aspect of Alien Creeps TD is the dynamic gameplay that allows gamers to build new towers from the energy gathered from the dead corpses of the Creeps. The gameplay in Alien Creeps TD involves surviving waves of enemies and strategically building new towers along the way to take them down.

After a few minutes into Alien Creeps TD, players are allowed to build infantry towers to slow down the Creeps by blocking ground enemies. If you want to deal with larger and more fierce groups of Creeps, then a Rocket Tower is the best way to deal with them and offers up a ton of fun with exploding rockets! However, projectile weapons aren't very effective against shields, and the use of them must be strategically calculated for successful gameplay. Most of the attacks are automatic and will happen after building a tower, but often still require a great deal of planning in order to know what towers to use against specific types of enemies, like knowing the Laser Tower is effective against shields. Gamers will not get bored with this tower defense game since it offers over 50 possible towers to build!

Alien Creeps TD features colorful visuals, fun animations and an intriguing soundtrack to go along with its innovative gameplay. The amount of energy you have available for building towers, your health and the wave number is all displayed in the upper left corner of the game for easy access. Players will be able to defend their planet in action-packed combat across three game modes with the ability to deploy a wide variety of heroes and infantry across the diverse game environments. Heroes are flown in via helicopter, and players are able to place them in the most desirable location for effective combat opportunities, and then all you have to do is set back to watch them impeccably take down the Creeps before they reach the end of the path! Every kill your hero gains will add Gold coins to your pockets to buy new towers, gadgets and equipment. After surviving all of the waves, players will be awarded victory and gold coins with the opportunity to return to their base for upgrades with the added opportunity to send your friends special care packages. Upgrades vary by weapons and attacks with the ability to upgrade your machine gun, barracks, laser, rocket, reinforcements, airstrikes and more. Every upgrade requires a certain amount of Gold coins and will take a minute or longer to complete with the ability to put your research into overdrive with Gems. Gems can be found on the battlefields and helps speed up your progress and artillery for battle. As players progress, they will unlock new battle areas that come in various terrains with the ability to gain new skills and weapons. The game modes that are available include the Campaign, Veteran and Spec Ops with only the Campaign being unlocked when you first start out. The Campaign will include tight resources and starts out with the player defending their naval base in Kontiki Bay with the ability to deploy submarines to stop the incoming attacks from the Creeps. Alien Creeps TD features a wide variety of gameplay options to keep gamers entertained for hours on end while adding enough diversity to keep players coming back for more.

The demo covers your first four days on the job, teaching the systems while nudging you toward choices, obey protocol and keep the peace, or pry at the seams and uncover the post office’s darker purpose. Either way, those first shifts are a careful, uncanny invitat...
