Ghostbusters Volume 8 (Comic Book Review)

Ghostbusters Volume 8 is a new release from IDW Publishing that combines issues #13-16 of the popular Ghostbusters comic series. Fans of the will be excited with the new release that offers a lot of content for a bargain price, and the book has some bonus content not previously made available in the original releases of these issues back in 2013. The Ghostbusters comic series takes heavy inspiration from the classic cartoon series and films to make a hilarious read that fans of all ages can pick up and instantly enjoy.


The new volume is titled Mass Hysteria Part 1 and features an all new storyline for the series. Egon, Peter, Ray and Winston are all along for the ride in the new collection, and the comic has introduced fans to all new characters that includes a Rookie Ghostbuster and a former FBI agent turned Ghostbuster named Melanie Ortiz. The comic series has only been around for a couple of years but has continued to grow more popular thanks to the great storylines and interesting new characters that have been introduced to the series. Ghostbusters Volume 8 continues that tradition with a fun storyline for readers of all ages.

Ghostbusters Volume 8 begins with a wedding for one of the Ghostbusters and continues with plenty of jokes and exciting action when all types of monsters begin showing up from ghosts, ghouls and zombies to giant dragons. The story featured in the collection is a fun read that fits right in line with the rest of the Ghostbusters franchise, and fans even get a helpful introduction for the volume that introduces key characters with individual biographies and a brief introduction that explains the storyline so far in the series.

Ghostbusters Volume 8 is a good read for fans of the series, and it doesn't really matter if you've ever read a single Ghostbusters comic or not. The content is presented in a way so that any reader can enjoy the content of the collection. The book even includes various pieces of art in its final pages that can be removed and hung on walls including some original artwork from the classic The Real Ghostbusters cartoon series. Ghostbusters should not hesitate to pick up a copy of Ghostbusters Volume 8 from IDW new this month!
