The Inside (Movie Review)

The Inside is a new found footage horror movie from Revolver Entertainment. The movie was filmed in Ireland and features a cast of unknown actors in the US. The Inside is still a surprisingly entertaining film despite having a low budget and average actors for the horror industry. The film starts slow but picks up around a third of the way through the movie and never lets up until the ending credits roll. There are several scenes throughout the film that produce some intense fear, but the film manages to produce scares without the need to show the monster that haunts the characters in the movie. Found footage horror fans will want to check this film out.

The Inside begins with a news report talking about a trio of missing girls in the Dublin area before switching to a young man in a pawn shop that comes across a video camera with footage of a set of girls that matches the news report. The footage begins innocent enough with the girls heading out for a special night with their friend for her birthday, but things turn sinister before too long when a group of criminals find the girls in an abandoned building and begin having their way with the girls. The dark energy emitted from the situation manages to summon a monster within the building that won't let anyone leave the confines alive. The storyline doesn't always make a lot of sense, but horror films are rarely true to life, and there are enough entertaining scenes in the later part of the movie to make up for any plot holes.

The Inside has some decent production quality that starts with some above average acting from the film's stars. Kellie Blaise, Tereza Srbova, Vanessa Vahy and Natalia Kostrzewa deliver good performances throughout the film, and there is some good camerawork throughout the film including a memorable scene using night vision in the basement of the abandoned warehouse. The sound quality in the film drags down the experience slightly, but the film is still an overall enjoyable experience that is worth a watch.

The Inside won't set the world on fire, but it's a solid horror movie that delivers some good scares. The found footage film makes good with a smaller budget and relative unknown actors. The film was recorded in Ireland but is easy to enjoy for horror fans around the world. There are enough good acting performances and brilliant direction to more than make up for any other shortcomings, and this is one movie that found footage horror fans will not want to miss. The Inside is out now on DVD.

The Inside is now available on DVD and can be purchased for $19.98. For more information on The Inside, check out the official Revolver Entertainment website and get the movie on Amazon and iTunes.

This is where the buffet line reigns supreme, the sweet tea flows endlessly, and dessert is always just an arm’s reach away. For many locals, Kacey’s is a comfort food paradise. Fans brag about the fried green tomatoes, juicy pork chops, slow-cooked beef tips, and banana pudding that deserves its own holiday. The staff are another highlight—quick with refills, friendly enough to feel like family, and the kind of people who can make a buffet feel like Sunday dinner at grandma’s. But Kacey’s has its critics too. Some diners rave about “the best bang for your buck in town,” while others complain that the food sometimes veers into “straight-from-the-can” territory. Like most buffets, it’s a roll of the dice: hit the line on a good day and you’ll be full and happy; catch it on an...
