Mighty Smighties (Video Game Review)

Herotainment has announced the release of their new free-to-play multiplayer card game for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Players will be able to collect hundreds of heroes in this action-packed adventure that includes PVP card battles, fun single-player quests and even match-3 mini-games. Mighty Smighties takes gamers on an adventure through a world full of powerful heroes who weld the powers of earth, air, water, light and magic. Not only are these magical creatures fierce and powerful but are gloriously cute! The game allows players to create their very own Mighty Smighties character with a ton of customizations and cards to collect. In order to take on others in the Battle Arena, players are tasked with mastering the arts in order to grow stronger within each element type.

On top of the fun to be had in the Battle Arena there is also a huge world map to explore in the single player campaign in Mighty Smighties. Players are tasked with completing quests to gain gold and silver in the various game difficulties that includes Normal, Power and Epic modes. As you progress through the game, there are plenty of things to collect to customize your hero, add new cards to your pack and purchase boosters for additional strength.

In starting up Mighty Smighties, you will be asked to choose your Smighty with the help of your guide Nardy. Each Smighty offers a different type of gameplay experience for the user with the ability to customize your character's colors before entering the massive world. By playing each day, players will have the chance to win in-game rewards with a special bonus prize on the fifth day of playing.

The Mighty Smighties Battle Arena will let you participate in a random battle, quest mode or battle friends. In single-player mode, gamers will be able to beat all of the levels to win incredible rewards and earn more stars. Mighty Smighties has a delightful soundtrack combined with that of very colorful, bright visuals and fun animations to create an appeasing atmosphere while playing with their adorable Smighty hero. If you need a quick boost, players can head to the Power Up Game to play for 45 seconds to make matches to win more Silver tokens to progress in the game. In between games, you can customize your cards in the Deck Manager to combine or shop for cards to create a more powerful deck.

In the end, Mighty Smighties is a good game that will challenge players to become the best hero possible while taking out their competition in various game modes. The game can become a little repetitive after long hours of playing but many gamers may appreciate the wide variety of heroes to collect which creates a high-level of replayability for the game.
