Rollers of the Realm (Video Game Review)

Atlus has announced the release of Rollers of the Realm for PC, PS4 and PS Vita for $9.99. The new release combines all of the elements you love from classic pinball games mixed with that of RPG titles. Yes, finally players get the RPG pinball game that they have been waiting for!

Rollers of the Realm doesn't take place on a table but instead features a fully rendered map with some very impressive visuals for a pinball game. Rollers of the Realm allows players to have their own party with a wide array of unique abilities with the ability to switch between characters on the fly. Rollers of the Realm features all of the elements of great RPG game like a well-written story, fun interactive puzzles, intriguing combat and the list goes on. Rollers of the Realm is definitely a step above most pinball titles that you may have played in the past.

While Rollers of the Realm does feature some light RPG elements, like the ability to level up your characters, it doesn't exactly impact the overall gameplay as much as you would hope. Gamers will gather gold in the game to buy a slew of items to use to make their adventure more enjoyable. Rollers of the Realm features some generic characters, like the Knight and Rogue, that you would expect for a medieval fantasy game of this type and they aren't too impressive to the overall story.

The gameplay in Rollers of the Realm is decent enough and plays like most pinball games with the size of the ball impacting how the ball moves across its environment. As you play, gamers will have the ability to utilize their characters special abilities, which allows for the ability to strategize gameplay around each character's useful skill. Players will earn mana instead of points which can be used for character's special abilities or reviving members of your party.

The maps are very well designed in Rollers of the Realm with players having to complete intricate puzzles in order to advance. However, the game can get very infuriating when it comes to the long-drawn out boss fights, due to imbalanced difficulty levels for enemies throughout the adventure. Despite its many flaws, Rollers of the Realm does feature some fantastic art designs combined with a great soundtrack to make up for some of its downfalls. In the end, Rollers of the Realm is a decent pinball game that could have been a lot better with some tweaking from the creators. However, players looking for a RPG pinball game that is priced incredibly low will definitely appreciate what Rollers of the Realm has to offer. When Your Brain Is Just Trying to Survive: What Prolonged Emotional Abuse, Betrayal, and Fear Do to You

There is something people often do not understand about prolonged emotional abuse: You do not simply “get over it.” You do not experience one hurtful event, cry about it, and wake up the next morning as the same person you were before. When someone repeatedly experiences betrayal, manipulation, control, isolation, emotional punishment, surveillance, instability, and fear, the effects can reach far beyond the relationship itself. They can change how a person thinks, sleeps, reacts, remembers, communicates, trusts, and even understands their own emotions. Sometimes, the person who has been hurt begins to wonder if they are the problem. Why am I crying so much? Why can't I calm down? Why do I keep checking? Why can't I just leave? Why do I feel exhausted all the time? Why do I keep trying to explain my pain to someone who keeps hurting me? The answer is often not that the person is weak, dramatic, or “crazy.” Sometimes, their brain is trying to survive. When Your Home...
