Lisa Simpson's Guide to Geek Chic (Book Review)

Lisa Simpson's Guide to Geek Chic is all about geek girls! The fourth book in the Vault of Simpsonology series follows the successful releases of Homer Simpson's Little Book of Laziness, Bart Simpson's Manual of Mischief and C. Montgomery Burns' Handbook of World Domination with an all new tale that loses all of the laziness, mischief and domination and instead focuses on why geek girl culture is so awesome. Lisa Simpson is often an overlooked character in The Simpsons, but the new release allows the character to shine, and it could go a long way in establishing the character as a fan favorite among those that check out the entertaining new read.

Lisa Simpson details all the information fans could want to know about geek culture in the new book. Whether you're a casual nerd or a geek of epic proportions, you are sure to love reading about easy to do cosplay ideas, the most important geek accessories and how to make a survival guide necessary for a geek to survive in the world. Lisa isn't just a geek but a girl geek, so there is plenty of information for girl's hairstyles, clothing options and advice on boys in the book as well. We also really loved any and all mentions of video games throughout the book, though we would have liked to seen even more gaming content!

The new Vault of Simpsonology release continues the trend of providing fans with fun inserts and other content that can be taken from the book and used elsewhere. Some of the best special contents include oversized stickers, trading cards featuring the most famous vegetarians of all-time and a letter from present Lisa to her future self. The new book also comes with an additional reversible poster that makes a nice image on walls by itself, or it can be flipped to give Vault of Simpsonology another piece of a massive The Simpsons poster.

Lisa Simpson's Guide to Geek Chic is an entertaining read that can be enjoyed by fans of all ages with content geared towards geek girls. The book will make anyone that ever feels left out or different feel better about their current situation, and it's an inspiring piece for young girls hidden under the fun that The Simpsons series has always strived for. Lisa Simpson is sure to gain a new fan base following the release of Lisa Simpson's Guide to Geek Chic. Look for the new release starting March 17, 2015
