Bridge Constructor: Trains (Video Game Review)

Headup Games and Clockstone Software have released the Trains add-on for Bridge Constructor.

Bridge Constructor: Trains adds 18 new levels across three islands giving players a ton of new content to explore. Gamers will test their construction skills with the new Choonited Kingdom where you have to build even stronger bridges to get the heavier trains across the sparkling rivers and deep ravines.

Bridge Constructor: Trains is available for PC on Steam for $2.99. The whole point of Bridge Constructor is to become a master bridge builder across 40 different levels. Every level tests your skills as you must figure out how to build powerful bridges through different types of terrains like valleys, canals and rivers. Once you think you have a perfect design ready then you perform a stress test to see if it can hold up against daily use from cars, trucks and heavy tanks.

The simulation game gives you a wide array of materials to choose from to build your bridges that includes steel, wood and concrete to name a few. The materials you choose will depend on your limited budget but from there everything is left up to the imagination. Bridge Constructor has a great help system for those who get stuck and the free build mode allows for a wide range of replayability.

Bridge Constructor: Trains adds a fun level of immersion to the game with its new environments and levels. The beautiful backdrops of mountains and ravines gives you the added motivation to create exquisitely constructed bridges to travel through the colorful terrains.

In the end, Bridge Constructor: Trains is a delightful simulation game for building your very own bridges for your trains to travel across the beautiful mountain scenery. To learn more, visit the official Bridge Constructor: Trains Steam page.

Buffet Bliss or Southern Swing-and-a-Miss? A Bite at Kacey’s in Huntsville

Walk through the doors of Kacey’s Country Cooking in Huntsville and you’re greeted by the comforting smell of fried chicken, collard greens, and cornbread that could double as perfume for any true Southerner. This is where the buffet line reigns supreme, the sweet tea flows endlessly, and dessert is always just an arm’s reach away. For many locals, Kacey’s is a comfort food paradise. Fans brag about the fried green tomatoes, juicy pork chops, slow-cooked beef tips, and banana pudding that deserves its own holiday. The staff are another highlight—quick with refills, friendly enough to feel like family, and the kind of people who can make a buffet feel like Sunday dinner at grandma’s. But Kacey’s has its critics too. Some diners rave about “the best bang for your buck in town,” while others complain that the food sometimes veers into “straight-from-the-can” territory. Like most buffets, it’s a roll of the dice: hit the line on a good day and you’ll be full and happy; catch it on an...

Step Back in Time at Ole Towne Café in Ardmore

If you’ve ever wished you could step into your grandma’s kitchen and smell fresh biscuits baking while bacon sizzles in the skillet, Ole Towne Café in Ardmore, Alabama, is the next best thing. Tucked along Main Street, this little diner doesn’t just serve food—it serves nostalgia. Walking in, you’re greeted with that small-town charm you just can’t fake. The walls are lined with country décor, the coffee flows like a friendly neighbor’s gossip, and everyone seems to know everyone else. Even if you’re new in town, you’ll feel like family after your first cup of coffee. The menu is straight out of a Southern comfort cookbook. The catfish plates are fried to crispy perfection, the hamburger steaks come smothered in gravy that tastes like Sunday supper, and the breakfast plates are legendary—big fluffy pancakes, biscuits as big as your hand, and hash browns that come golden and crispy.
