Awesomenauts Assemble! (Xbox One Review)

Ronimo Games has released Awesomenauts Assemble! for Xbox One.

Awesomenauts Assemble! is a 2D multiplayer online game that thrusts players into a battle arena to face off against AI-controlled or real opponents. When you start the game, you are initially matched up with bots, and those bots are later replaced with real players when you enter the matchmaking system.

Awesomenauts is basically a MOBA that mixes in elements of classic 2D platformer type titles with that of action-packed fighting games. Before jumping into the game you pick your character from one of the available Awesomenauts, each one as their own distinctive look, audio and attributes.

Players are thrust into a world where mercenaries called Awesomenauts fight for control of the Solar resource. After booting up the game, you step into the shoes of Sheriff Lonestar, and start battling some critters to collect cash and health bonuses. The upbeat soundtrack and fun, colorful animations really set the mood for Awesomenauts Assemble!'s action-packed gameplay. You will come to certain areas of the map where you can shop for new items and abilities, like dynamite, to make your way through certain parts of the map. As you progress through each level, you will need to grab Solar coins to buy items which are dropped by defeated characters.

Gamers will have to deploy certain strategies to get past certain parts of the map. For example, you will need to stay behind your Droids when approaching enemy turrets, since they take less damage from the turrets. The main point of the game is to destroy the enemy's Solar collecting drill first, but you have to make your way past several automated turrets, droids and mercenaries to get there. The teams are divided into RED and BLUE helping you distinguish between foes and friendlies.

When you decide to play the multiplayer portion of the game, you will find that some of the arenas feel very similar and constricted. There are very few visual schemes to each arena to make them a little different but this doesn't add much to the overall variety of the multiplayer arenas. Awesomenauts Assemble!'s gameplay is very engaging with its intrinsic mechanics and fun explosions which makes up for any downfalls that the game might suffer from. In celebration of Awesomenauts Assemble! making its way to Xbox One, gamers are able to get the Starstorm Expansion for free until September 12. This gives gamers access to the several characters including Ted McPain, Penny Fox, Sentry X-58, Skree, and Nibbs. There will also be the chance to get the free character Ix the Interloper later this year. Romino Games is also holding a raffle with prizes over $10000 in value up for grabs. So if you want a ton more characters and skins then Starstorm, Overdrive and Costume Party bundles can unlock 8 additional characters and 27 skins.

In the end, Awesomenauts Assemble! is a incredibly fun game with its diverse characters and skins alongside its action-packed gameplay. If you are looking for an explosive MOBA title with a mix of the best elements of 2D platformers and explosive fighting games then look no further with Awesomenauts Assemble!. Letter Lost: Postmarked Secrets - A cozy post office that hides rules and a deeper mystery. (Demo Preview)

Letter Lost drops you into the Kharnym Isle Post Office as its sole employee, tasked with the deceptively simple work of stamping, sorting, and dispatching the island’s mail. On the surface it’s a cozy workplace sim; polite locals, daily pay, and mandatory room and board that removes the hassle of commuting, but the office’s cheery routine is threaded with odd rules and quiet contradictions that quickly make the ordinary feel off‑kilter. What begins as a satisfying loop of weighing parcels and matching stamps soon becomes a game of attention: letters hide hints, patrons’ small talk slips into unsettling confessions, and management’s insistence that you never leave the premises reads less like policy and more like a warning. The demo covers your first four days on the job, teaching the systems while nudging you toward choices, obey protocol and keep the peace, or pry at the seams and uncover the post office’s darker purpose. Either way, those first shifts are a careful, uncanny invitat...

550 Geese Killed at the Request of an HOA — And the Question We Can’t Ignore

In Madison, Alabama, more than 550 geese were captured and killed in a single coordinated operation carried out by USDA Wildlife Services at the request of a homeowners association. What was described as a “population control effort” has ignited a deeper and far more uncomfortable conversation: When did wildlife become something we simply remove when it becomes inconvenient? According to reports from the Heritage Plantation HOA, the geese population had grown to levels they claimed were “five times” what was considered sustainable for the area. The association said it had spent years attempting non-lethal methods, including deterrents and egg management strategies, before ultimately requesting a full-scale cull approved under federal wildlife guidelines. Nine USDA agents carried out the operation. Within a single night, hundreds of birds that had been living, nesting, and raising young in the community were gone. The HOA cited concerns about sanitation, water quality, and public health...
