Stealth 350VR Headset Review (PS4)

Turtle Beach’s Stealth 350VR headset will further immerse users into the Virtual Reality world.

Turtle Beach’s Stealth 350VR is an interesting one - one of the first headsets to hit the scene specifically with VR in mind. VR titles are already some of the most immersive options you have, if you can afford the hefty asking price to set up your room, rig, or living room. Essentially, if you have already shelled out the considerable fee to get VR operating, what’s the price of a headset really? Curiously enough, these headphones are priced rather modestly for their focus at $59.95 making them a reasonable pickup even if you’re only dabbling in the world of VR.

You can tell the Stealth is designed for comfort while wearing your VR gear. It’s a bit wider and has breathing room for the setup that’s ostensibly fitting snugly on your head. It succeeds here admirably both in giving you plenty of exterior room and maneuverability, and is the most comfortable pair of cups that I’ve used with VR. The padded memory foam is an excellent choice, and won’t get sweaty and gross - a serious consideration since you’re already encumbered by the rest of your VR accoutrements.

The rest of the specs are great too - you have a removable mic, great audio, and battery amplification that lasts almost forever. But I’m not so sure these factors make it all that much better for VR than another headset of the same quality, as I didn’t notice much difference while exploring virtual worlds.

They’re cool cups and offer enough flexibility to consider them over another headset for your virtual delving. If you’re looking for a set that won’t smother you while you jack on your face-mask, it’s a perfect match - but don’t expect much in terms of audio immersion that makes you feel the waterfall or hear the crunch of snow any better than comparable headsets. Overall, a solid choice for the VR explorer that’s looking for something that fits great (comfort during VR here is the absolute best thing about the headphones), sounds good, and has a lot of battery-boosted life.
