Discover New Character Roster Additions from the Buu Saga in Latest Dragon Ball: Sparking! ZERO Trailer


Bandai Namco Entertainment America Inc. has just unveiled exciting new additions to the character roster from the final DRAGON BALL Z Arc, the Buu Saga, in the latest trailer for DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO. Developed by Spike Chunsoft and powered by Unreal Engine 5, this game promises lightning-paced combat, large destructible environments, and stunning visuals. Fans of the DRAGON BALL Z: BUDOKAI TENKAICHI series have been eagerly awaiting this sequel for over 15 years, and it’s set to release on October 11, 2024, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam.

New Characters from the Buu Saga

The new trailer introduces several iconic characters from the Buu Saga, the final arc of the DRAGON BALL Z anime series. This saga features the legendary Majin Buu, a powerful and unpredictable villain who has been sealed for millions of years. The Z Fighters must unite to defeat Buu and save the universe.

The trailer reveals three new playable characters:
  • Super Buu (Gotenks Absorbed): A fusion of Majin Buu and Gotenks, known for his incredible speed. 
  • Super Buu (Gohan Absorbed): A powerful form created when Majin Buu absorbs Gohan. 
  • Kid Buu: The original form of Majin Buu, known for his pure evil and immense destructive power.
A New Era for DRAGON BALL Fighting Games 

DRAGON BALL: Sparking! ZERO marks the return of the revered BUDOKAI TENKAICHI DRAGON BALL fighting game franchise. The game pushes the envelope for gameplay and features in an arena brawler, capturing each DRAGON BALL character’s signature destructive powers and Ki abilities. The gravity-defying fights are showcased in stunning detail, with damage capable of destroying entire parts of the arena.
