The Venardos Circus lands at MidCity District, 5909 University Drive, from October 23 through November 2, offering a Broadway‑style reinvention of the American circus. Conceived by former Ringling Bros. ringmaster Kevin Venardos, the production fuses world‑class, animal‑free acts with musical‑theatre storytelling; an intimate, family‑friendly evening of aerial feats, acrobatics, comedy, and live music that feels equal parts nostalgic and modern. Step into the red‑and‑white tent and expect theatrical polish, close‑up thrills, and a warm, communal atmosphere perfect for audiences of all ages.
The Experience
A classic red‑and‑white striped tent greets you like a time machine to the golden age of the traveling circus, its entrance promising spectacle before you even step inside. Preshow entertainment and themed photo ops begin one hour before curtain, giving families time to explore, snap keepsakes, and soak in the atmosphere.
The 90‑minute main performance, with a brief intermission, moves at a joyful, theatrical pace. Acts blend seamless choreography and fearless skill: soaring aerialists, precision acrobats, expert jugglers, and elegant hand‑balancers share the ring with comedic jokesters, high‑wire daredevils, magicians, dancers, and dynamic trampoline and lyra artists.
Everything is staged for intimacy; performers work within arm’s reach of the audience, amplifying thrills and emotional beats so each gasp, laugh, and cheer lands personally. Expect polished production values, live music cues, and moments of surprise that feel both nostalgic and freshly theatrical.
